Don't call me surely.

6'6" wing that we offered a couple months back, but it had gone quiet. UMass is the only other team that seems to be recruiting him hard. Good defensive wing apparently, but I haven't been overly impressed by what I've seen from him offensively. Guessing this is a backup for plan for Jones.
Tev Jones, grad trans big, and Ayo. Don't mind developing young big like Ebo. As long as they respect the process.
He looks long, athletic, seems to have a decent stroke, can finish with either hand, creates off the bounce...

I had seen that when I read the article. The kid like all deserves a second chance and the ILLINI would be an ideal place for him with 2 players possibly 3 from his homeland on the team.
I wonder if he can play soccer well like Ebo ?
So in two years...we could very well roll out...
Ayo/Ramey
Frazier/Lucas
Smith/Jones
Liddell/Kipper
Okoro/Spicy G
Next year...
Ayo/Ramey
Frazier/Lucas
Smith/Jones
Kipper/Finke
Black/Spicy G
5 Star potential (for one liners in the game threads)
Something something Tacko Fall.YES, you can't teach 7' 3"
I seem to be much more worried than most here about:
1 - Black, and or Finke deciding they have given the Illini all they can give, and will go seeking the big dance as grad transfers. Coupled with the obvious lack of bigs we have signed up for next year.
Anythings is possible, but I don't see that happening. Both of them have their best opportunity here. Neither would be a star in a better program. I can imagine they would want to go to a lesser conference.I agree here. I could see a scenario where we lose both Finke and Leron. Hopefully that doesn't happen, but it is very possible.

I think this is more likely.
Finke starts over a transfer because of experience in the system to start the year. Also I think all 5 of the guards I have at the one and two are interchangeable based on matchups. If Ayo and Trent start together Trent’s going to bring the ball up most of the time (being the older guard) and guard the smaller defender.
Supposedly a bar fight got him kicked out. Would be a tough sell to the AD imho. I think we land a big next season.
Man if Finke is our starting center next year I will be extremely disappointed
And our best shooter, who will be a senior, is where?I think this is more likely
Trent/Ramey/Lucas
Ayo/Smith
Kipper/Williams/ Fr wing
Black/Greg
Finke/ 5th year big

Maybe this will look better:
Trent/Ramey/Lucas
Ayo/Smith/Williams
Kipper/Jordan/ Fr wing
Black/Greg
Finke/ 5th year big

Backup to Tevian Jones, the kid is local so to speak and looks like he has an awkward style about him. Can score either hand, looks to love to penetrate the ball...we could use that?
Says K-State and St. Louis has offered, not us per 24/7?
Lots here seem so confident we are going to land Jones. Why is that? Lots of other teams have turned up heat on him recently.
