Not getting excited. Common sense says it's not Tilmon or Goodwin. They're traveling this week and I'd assume they would have a local press conference for any significant announcements. Secondly, wouldn't it make sense that they'd visit first?
He did say Wednesday is the day ... Well know within 9 hours.
I don't think any of the recruits that we are going after in 2017 are program transforming recruits with the exception of Tilmon. However, a group of Tilmon, Lewis, Goodwin, Pickett, Williams could be a program transforming class. Add in another big like Culver or a fifth year transfer transfer big or a jc big and we would be much improved in the talent area.
Or something...
The day I took a half day from work to watch the Cliffmas debacle was the day that broke me.

not necessarily, all it takes is a tweet. they've both visited before.
I didn't take a half day that day but I did leave an hour early I think.
That's not typically how it happens with high profile recruits. Would love to be wrong...
just as i commented ten pages ago, athletes is exactly what the illini need. We have been out played by mediocre teams with better athletes than us., Lewis is an athlete (and a skilled one)and even though he fits at a position that we already filled, we are dreadfully low on that scale. bring back the flyin' in ilini!

Tilmon and Goodwin aren't either, especially since the coach recruiting them is a decent bet never to actually coach them.
I'll bet 50 loyalty bucks that Groce would indeed be the coach if he landed both.
If an IU fan gets ahold of this post, expect to see an entire thread on their board dedicated to making fun of our fans based on this quote alone.

Good call. But much of their defensive success is because of their offensive style. They make it a half court game and don't turn it over, which means no easy buckets. And in the 2 previous seasons before this, Bo kind of loosened the chains and let them run a bit more. As a result, their defense wasn't as good as it usually is.

Why not, still great to lock up talented players. Especially with what we've been hearing about a "new" player joining what could help bring the top players in.
Not that it matters since Illinois isn't recruiting him, but has Chastain actually committed to Utah like the article suggests by saying "now he'll be joining a Utah team that went 29-7"?
Yeah, sorry I guess I should have been more clear. I also "worked from home" that day. I believe it was a Friday if I remember correctly - so was easier than not to be able to do.
Ended up only charging a half a days worth of work to clients since I sat there on the forums and Twitter for the better part of the day watching the nut-punch unfold.
Okay enough with the depressing memories. Hopefully better days ahead.
