LA time, eh? That's odd, considering none of the schools he's choosing between are in that time zone.

When he and his Dad returned to Australia they had a lengthy layover @ LAX so his Dad called Alford and arranged a hurried campus visit. They like what they saw and so it will be UCLA and not any of the 4 he OV'ed.:D

You see that little "I" to the left of the cat? That's us. But hey, he did put us first and it's not alphabetical....

No, it is in order of visits, I think. But that "I" looks mighty small compared to the others. Unless we learn that David and Goliath was his (and HCJG's) favorite Bible story, our chances do not look gigantic.

I could have done without any reference to that debacle ever being made ever again. Out of all of the high-profile nutpunches, I think that one might have hurt the most for me solely because it was completely out of left field and felt so underhanded.

Just heard that Jordy Tshimanga (6'10" PF-C, MacDuffie School), one of the better unsigned big men out there, got an offer from Arizona today.

That has to mean something, doesn't it? Just how many bigs does Arizona expect to land each year?

Maybe Arizona has been told they were eliminated. Wouldn't think he would go to SMU with probation there. So the ILLINI and Colorado?

OK, time to read emoji tea leaves. I see a Wildcat(Arizona), a Buffalo(Colorado), a Mustang (SMU) and three hands holding three pens which must, by a process of elimination, be us.

Does he list us three times because he likes us three times more than the than the other choices? Or does he list us fourth, fifth and sixth to show that he'd put us lower than fourth out of four if there was any way he could do so?

The fact that he is not announcing already suggests someone or something may still be in play. Gotta imagine a lot of long distance calls are being made today.

I thought it might suggest he was sleeping. As I write this I think it is only like 9:00 am in Australia.

Why wouldn't he go to SMU with the probation? They seem to have been able to be recruiting just fine despite it.

I want to believe... One time, Illini!

The biggest thing working against Arizona is that they aren't lacking in bigs already. If he wants playing time, he might not see a lot right away in Tucson.

As far as Froling is concerned, the major effect of probation is 2016 tournament ban, so he would not be affected from that? Am I correct?

There's an I before the emojis. That's us.

And we're FIRST!!!

Yes, but they also lose 9 scholarships over the next 3 years. Makes it a little tougher to build a strong team, but i don't think that would turn Froling away if he really likes SMU the best.

Thanks, I knew I was forgetting other penalties.

Also, Larry Brown is no spring chicken. The dude is 75 years old. By the time a kid in the '16 class graduated college he would be 80. If the NCAA comes sniffing around again, or things don't go to well for a season, he will bail. Still think Froling will pick SMU though.

A little tougher? I think the impact will be far more than a little tougher.
