Well, they won't be back until Sunday night, right?
They'd probably just go straight to Dayton.

Don't know if there is any truth behind this. But word out here is that Montana State freshman Tyler Hall will be looking to transfer to a bigger school at the end of the season. I'm hearing Illinois is at the top of his list. He had a good season and has supposedly grown 4 or 5 inches since high school. Don't know if it's someone Groce is interested in. Just throwing it out there.

He's listed on the MSU website as 6'4" is that current height, or is he now much taller than that? Not sure we have need for another wing.
Saw Chastain posted 20 points, 14 rebounds, six blocks and five steals. Pretty good day, although 11 turnovers is a bunch if that is correct. Did not watch game, but boxscore made it look ugly with other team shooting like 20% for the game and Leroy having 24 TOs.

If true, this would actually be a fairly big deal, IMO. Yes, he's a wing, but he just put up 18.6 pts, 5.3 reb, 0.9 stl, and 3.1 made threes per game on 43% 3-pt shooting and 47% overall. He looks like he's still growing into his body. Could be a Bryn Forbes type after a sit-out year. I'd take him, no question. He'd be able to step in for KN in 2017.
Didn't search anything, but is there a connection? Why would the Illini be at the top of his list? Native?

From what I understand, he can to school at 6' and now is 6'5"
Late growth spurt... just like Anthony Davis!!! :hand:

What are the chances of a Manual vs Althoff state class 3A final? Would love to see Damonte against Goodwin.
Not sure about manual, as I don't know much about their team, but I'd say you can bank on Althoff making it there. That team is really good.

They would beat SIUE.

Channel 59 out of Peoria carries the IHSA tournament games, if your in their area. Chastain reminds me a bit of a young, raw Hill. About the same size and same style game. He plays the 1 or 2 on offense and center on defense. In the first half, he blocked or altered nearly all shots in the paint. The other team had about 4 points in the first quarter. On offense he seemed inactive most of the time, not really demanding the ball. Several times he brought the ball up, looked for an opening and easily drove the lane for a layup or dunk. Seemed to turn in on at will, but overall didn't seem aggressive much of the game. . Going into the second half he had three fouls so backed off a bit on defense.
At 6'6" he wont be defensive stopper in college, and today he really didn't show much shooting range, although he is supposedly a very good shooter. Made a lot of crisp cross court passes to set up teammates. He is fairly quick and get off the ground.
Not sure how will do in Div1, but the Happ kid at Wisc came from a similar size school so who knows. These players are really hard to evaluate whenl playing against class 1A HS competition.
Rumors flying that if the team and Whitman are back in champaign before he heads back to LaLu he may stop in on campus on the way back. But nowhere near guaranteed and again.. rumors
Anyone know if the Althoff or Manual games will be streaming online anywhere?
Not doing anything else tonight and I am not too excited of the prospect of watching Justin Holiday start for the Bulls tonight.
