DaMonte reminds me of DJW at times. He has all the tools, but just hasn't been able to put it together consistently yet. Luckily DaMonte has time to figure it out.

Also can't help but feel like he'd be a lot better player at this point if a certain McClain was still coaching at Manual.

He is just like his dad, but his dad is a little more talented.

I will say this about Da'Monte, he has been sick recently and still isn't close to 100%.

Very underwhelmed by Damonte in these two games at state this weekend. Very athletic, but his skill set isn't as far along as I'd hope a Top-50 recruit's would be. Also, as many have pointed out, his mindset is very passive which has led to inconsistency. Remember, he also only scored 2 points against a terrible Urbana team earlier in the season.

Glad to have him on board, but expectations for him need to be very low entering his freshman year. I see him more as a contributor as an upperclassman than an impact freshman.

Rakocevic on the other hand... Color me impressed! Consistently attacked the rim, hit some threes, rebounded, blocked shots, made some nice spin moves so the footwork is there. Demanded the ball with his team down a bucket and scored. We need all the bigs we can get at this point...

Utah and 4 MVC schools are the biggest.

Not an Illinois level recruit.

I think no B1G offers speaks volumes. I understand that evaluating high school players is an art, not a science, but at least four B1G coaches have seen him in person in the last two months and still not offered.

Interestingly, Wisconsin was at one of his best games, the super-sectional against Newark.

Easy to be the best player on the floor in high school when you're 6 inches taller than the next tallest guy. Pass.

Pretty much where I am at. 4-34 this year from three. His dropstep did impress me but I will take a pass.

That's the 4th time I've seen him play in the state championship tourney and he's played pretty well each time against the states top teams. He plays hard and has some pretty good moves. Not a lot of guys his size can spin as well as him.Gets up and down the court to.He's going to be a very good D1 player.Looking at his offer list I'm thinking I'm not alone in this assumption.:)

I want Goodwin he just oozes high basketball IQ something the Illini need more of. Love his control of his body around the basket too.

+1

Very driven, determined player. Skilled too. Does it all. Not hard to imagine his transition to D1 ball. Really want him.

4 years of Goodwin would do more for this program than 1 of Tilmon. Illinois needs to do whatever is necessary to get him here.

Goodwin is the biggest must-get recruit in this class. He would elevate the team in so many ways for 4 years.

Goodwin looks like he makes the smart play almost every time. Would rather get great shots for teammates than take good shots himself. Looks like a must get for coach groce.

Another impressive performance from 2017 Jordan Goodwin & Belleville Althoff is Illinois 3A champs. He's as competitive as any player in USA

More I watch Jordan Goodwin, more it looks like he has an impact on game similar to one Marcus Smart did at same age. Physical alpha dog
