And it runs well into May, iirc.

We have to hope that Smith does not pull the trigger early somewhere and lets the Illinois situation play itself out.

Unless he pulls the trigger to Cuonzo, and the Groce out/Cuonzo in situation plays out before signing period begins.

Lamelo ball scored 92 in a game, 41 in the 4th quarter.

Did you watch the game? Not impressed, 90% cherry picking and zero defense on both sides. On most possessions it seemed he wouldn't even cross half court mark to play defense and would just wait for the other team to miss and a teammate chucks it down court to him for a layup. Kind of disgusts me, I love a good defensive effort.

didn't he shoot like 61 times? from what I hear, he also just cherry picked and played no defense
This will not translate well to the college game, and I don't want to see it begin to do so. I'll take real basketball, thanks.

Sounds more like Lame-oh basketball to me.

He did not pass half court at all. Most were uncontested lay ups.

Obviously, 92 points is really impressive. Obviously, he is good, as he is going to UCLA. BUT, his 92 points are not that impressive, as literally anyone on that team could have been the one scoring if they played his position, assuming they could make their layups!

LaMelo is what like 5'7" 140lbs? He is going to get man handled in college and really don't see how his game translates at the next level.

5' 8" last year. Now he is 6'3" & probably still growing. His older brother is a candidate for being taken no. 1 in the NBA draft. I think is older brother is a 6'6"
point guard.

LaMelo is a 15.5 year old sophomore, 6'3 and 160 lb. Lonzo is a 6'6 190 lb 19 year old. LaMelo probably doesn't have much to be concerned about in terms of size considering he's got another 2.5 years till UCLA and at least 3.5 years to the NBA.

Yeah, I saw the story and was impressed. Then I saw a video about it on facebook and it showed him cherry picking, which the article I read failed to mention. Pretty bogus if you ask me

Marquise Walker has not left St. Joseph. His dad wants to set the record straight. Walker missed 2 games w/a knee injury, back in lineup now

I was wondering about that. This year's team is as big a mess on the court as the last few when it comes to getting along. Ping is at 999 victories though, Joe's is at 12-10 on the year.

pretty sure I also read that Chino Hills (Ball's team) was fouling near the end of the game to try and get him more shots instead of letting the other team dribble out the clock.

I would think he might be the recipient of a hard foul in the CPL or SWC playing a game like that.

I wonder why Chino Hill's coach was ok with this. Sounds kind of despicable.
