Announcer is from South Carolina and he's raving about EJ. Elevates play of entire team, nose for the ball, should be starting etc etc.
Don't think EJ will be our little secret for long. Just fought Sow for a rebound, got it, and heads to the line.

2018 Darius Garland is sitting out the game for BBE with an ankle injury suffered last night. Questionable for tonight's game

Amazing BBE is up by 9 without Garland. Okoro just picked up 4th foul.

Thatch raining 3's for BBE. Hellums scoring a lot. Billikens are going to be pretty good with Thatch, Jordan Goodwin, Gordon, French, Bess from MSU and I think a couple of other good transfers. Ford won't be at SLU for long.
Liddell has really stepped it up in the 2nd half and is battling Sow for every loose ball, winning more than his share. BBE up 69-63.

Brad Beal Elite up 63 to 54. EJ Liddell also playing well. Hits 2 free throws and then a nice find for a 3. 524 to go

Liddell with pretty assist to Okoro for the dunk. BBE wins 78-68 without Garland. Didn't hear Sow's name much if at all in the 2nd half. BBE now 2-0 in Peach Jam pool play.

Meanstreets tipping off against BABC and Cole Swider, who committed to Villanova over Duke and Syracuse.
Boston up early 7-2. Bazley has MS's bucket.

Dj says we coming hard, makes me feel like THT on back burner. Oh well, the waiting game.;):illinois:

Can Stewart also be a replacement for Finke? IOW are THT/Finke/Stewart all similar players, so only take one of three, a big and (hopefully) Ayo?

He is definitely a wing.

I'm all for getting in state guys, but it seems that Stewart has the highest ceiling of those 3 and to be honest, I think I personally want him more than the two. I definitely would be happy with any of those 3, but Stewart has more of that athleticism we have lacked in recent years and seems to rebound well for his position.

Probably because we had Nunn, Hill, JCL and AJ. Even though Hill played as more of an SF, ZN would have been 4th string his freshman year.

I think there's a chance he ended up here if he was in a different class

I am sure Norvell played some last year, but all I remember was a bunch of towel waiving. He is going to play more this year now that Nigel Goss is gone. It took games for Groce to put Lucas in and keep him there. Add Norvell to that rotation and I don't know what happens. I saw Norvell as more of a lefty shooter anyways. Not a pure point.

If Stewart can be coached up on his ballhandling and jumper he's got All-Big-Ten written all over him as an upperclassman and certain NBA potential

Norvell tore his meniscus in Gonzaga's first exhibition game (had 20 points when the injury happened) and sat out the year for what will undoubtedly be a medical redshirt year.

Take 2 of the first three you named. I'd be happy with any of them. Then get a big, and then Ayo.

Oversign by 1.

Finke has been active early on. Just got fouled going up for a fastbreak dunk.

Meanstreets up 28 to 24. Good half for Tim Finke thus far.

I don't know. If I'm being honest, the more I see of Tim Finke the more I want Horton-Tucker. Wish we could have gotten in on Bazley though. That kid is going to be very good.

That YT video of 2 years ago of ZN scoring 53 pts with 14 three pointers (11 in first half) is an AAU game is a classic.Zach is going to be a good one. I wish we would have gotten him.

Was there something concerning you saw from Finke?

I would rather have THT as well, but you just said Finke was having a good game, so I am confused by the timing of the comment.

I didn't say that, Piper and Sturdy did. He's not having a terrible game, but he's not making shots again and when he doesn't make shots he doesn't bring all that much else. He's gotten a few rebounds and layups but he's only about the 3rd or 4th best player on MS right now. Bazley, Anderson and Freeman-Liberty all look like better next level prospects to me.
But Sturdy and Piper are there and I'm just watching online so they may see more of what's going on. Plus I've missed a few chunks of the game here and there, looking at other games so maybe he's just gaslighting me.
Also I'm a big THT fan so that may play into it too.

but it's 20 bucks a month. Been able to watch all the EYBL session. Very good, crisp hi-def feed, but the price is a bit steep for most.
I was hoping they'd have the Las Vegas events at the end of the month but it doesn't look like it. And I'm not too interested in watching the Kansas European tour so this will probably be my last weekend on flo.

Thanks for the info.. 20 bucks for a weekend of games isn't worth it. Keep the updates coming. Much appreciated!

I heard from a friend in Chicago when THT left the Fire the Irvins were really ticked. They've been throwing shade at him on their twitter feed ever since - EYBL isn't for everybody, Tamell Pearson is the 2nd best player in the class of 2018 (which is a total joke) etc. Plus the fact he left them for an Adidas team would have set them off if nothing else. That's bound to filter down to Ayo, regardless of how Ayo and Talen feel about each other personally.
Well, guess I'd rather have Ayo if that's the only one of the two we can get but THT is going to be a damn good player for NW.

Do we know why THT left MIF?

Also, what do you think the chances are THT commits to NW?

THT with 21 pts/7 rbs/3 asts in Team Rose 71-60 victory over Team Arsenel in first game of Adidas Gauntlet Finale weekend. Chase Adams, Raekwon Drake both from Orr, Traevon and Tyree Martin (Curie) and Kendle Moore of Danville also on the team. No idea if that link will take you to the box score since Adidas' AAU website is about the worst designed site I've seen in ten years.
(after posting it, I see you have to scroll down their list of games, when you see Team Rose and Team Arsenel's game, click on Box.)
