Most looking forward to finding out if this staff can actually recruit to a system; seeing things they like in players who maybe aren't the most highly sought after - and then proving it with W/L.

Just check out his recent twitter likes.:thumb:

I'm not a huge twit (despite what my wife says) so I don't know how to see his recent likes, but I did scroll down and love to see he's all about the university with gifs on the quad and references to the GPA of last years team... nice job Orlando!

Gee, who to believe, message board insiders or Talen Horton-Tucker (not to mention a writer on another site who actually knows THT and staff members)?

ILLINOIS: "I would say Illinois has been at every single one of my games this summer, so I know they're making me a priority. They're the hometown school and I'm getting to know Coach (Brad) Underwood and his staff there pretty well."
RIVALS REACTION

Look for this to be a Big Ten showdown between Michigan State and Illinois, with Iowa State from the Big 12 also heavily in the mix. Underwood has proven himself to be a great recruiter but at the end of the day, Izzo and MSU could win out on the talented wing from Chicago.

If you think recruiting occurs on the surface level and you can always tell what is going on by the headlines, I have a bridge to sell you.

And if you think posters here know the inner-workings going on behind the scenes, I have an even bigger bridge to sell you.

Coaches actions are more important than any words.

They would not have been there Sunday if they weren't still actively recruiting him.

By the same token, if you think people spewing out "information" on a message board have a direct line to the coaching staff or an insider I also have a bridge to sell you.

Edit: Matt beat me to it.

I didn't say that either. His argument was the article says this, so it must be true. Knocking down a bad argument doesn't mean I support another bad argument.

So you're saying THT is either lying or can't tell if an Illinois coach has been at all of his spring and summer games, even when it's reported by the media on at least half of them. If they are, and I tend to believe him, I'd say they're still very actively recruiting him. This is supported by another article I just read which I can't post or quote but can say it backs him up.
I also tend to believe him when he says he's still open as to schools. I mean, on Monday he retweeted the Illini basketball 5 on 5 scrimmage post from last week. Not something he'd just randomly retweet since there are no longer any Simeon players at IL.
I'm not saying we'll get him, MSU is a powerful lure, but this stuff about IL putting him on the backburner and he's definitely not coming here, I'd just like to hear some kind of sources for that, especially when there are legit sources out there saying the opposite.

I'm not saying that, but I don't have any crayons with me to try to explain it to you.

People on this board I believe: cash and lefty. HC also called the tilmon sitch. HC has called no THT. we will see. The fun is watching it all play out.
