I don't think there is anybody that thinks THT can't play or is chopped liver. Would people be disappointed if he decides to play somewhere else? Yes, but that doesn't mean they don't think he is good. If they didn't think he was good they wouldn't want him.

I'm pretty sure that Illinois fans are so amped about THT because we know he's not chopped liver.
We know the NBA production has been on the thin side lately, but we're happy to get athletes on board who are going to change that trend, because we're pretty sure we've just hired a coach that can refine NBA talent well.
This board wants THT to be an Illini. Overwhelmingly so. I can count on one finger the number of posters who you could argue put him in the chopped liver category. If he decides this fall that another situation is better for him, i hope it works out. And i hope he doesn't regret that decision come spring.
In any case, i would rather THT come because he wants to, and not because we are the only ones left with a spot. Whatever the reason, if he ends up here, he will be glad that he did.
If he's been on Izzos radar a few years and their offer came considerably later than ours it seems like Izzo is the one treating him like chopped liver.
You need to read the whole thread...I'm one of many posters that love THT's game. Some people may be less enthusiastic about him only because we don't seem to be the leader. I'd love to see him in O&B.
Correction: the previous staff didn't produce many pro's. Our current HC put his pg in the league just this year, and Orlando Antigua doesn't possess enough fingers to count all the guys he's helped get there
Also, consensus among illini nation is that we would all love to have Talen.

Well first off, the fan base loves THT, top wing choice of most. But who cares what the fans think?
Underwood has made THT a priority from day 1. Talen said in one of his first post Underwood interviews that the new staff was recruiting him much more than the prior. While Zion Griffin was blowing up, Underwood was watching THT. It's clear who the staff wants and that is far more valuable than message board popularity.

Nolley has two OVs scheduled: UConn & VaTech. The good news: it appears he'll readily leave the deep south. The bad news: if we don't get one of his remaining visits, we're done. Really intrigued by the kid's game. Think he'll be an impact D1 player.
He played for Chicago Curie through his Soph. year and has lots of relatives in the Chicago area. He could be a top50 kid before it is all over.

if we have to worry about Tulsa beating us out for guys we want, we got more than 99 problems.
Everyone here wants THT. The coaching staff has made him a priority. That isn't exactly treating him like chopped liver.

Ayo or bust. He may be the only person we get from this class but if we don't get Ayo, the staff failed. At the end of the day we are relying upon JFG's last class to carry us for 2 seasons and luckily for us we don't have a Sr class that will be gone immediately like in JFG's first season. Not only was the staff behind in the relationship dept, also the kids haven't seen BU's offense @ ILL and we haven't won anything in their immediate lifetime. How could some of you expect these classes of Ayo, THT, Sousa,etc. Not going to happen and shouldn't be expected. Loren Tate and Co needs a dose of realism. This season and this season's freshman and JRs are going to be the make or break for BU.
Is Nolley a realistic option? I guess we haven't been eliminated, but I also don't see the mutual interest either.
