I'd be very concerned if Castleton gave a commitment that he would waver in the event that Florida came up with an offer. It seems pretty apparent to me that he wants to go to Florida and everyone else is a fallback. Using an official visit to a place where there is no offer yet tells a lot. He's hoping for an offer and/or has some indication that one might be on the way.

At this point, I imagine Florida is interested but won't make him an offer unless he starts his HS season on another level than he's currently showing.

They would have to Crean someone to do that, but yes, if his rankings climb I could see them offering and him accepting.

Isn't there a limit to how many official visits a school can have? At least, I thought that there is a limit. If so, why would a school spend one of their OV's on a guy that they haven't even offered? That just seems odd. So, I'm probably wrong about there being a limit.

George Conditt to visit Illinois again prior to making a decision. Per Kedric Prince, Conditt is targeting a commitment in October.

I thought they did offer but it was for '19

USC is an interesting one. They've already got a really strong 18 class committed, but no PG. Enfield was able to swoop in late and sign Nick Rako in '16, and that whole SoCal thing can be attractive to 17 year olds.

I don't think this is as rare you think but I agree with the rest. Hard to blame a kid for wanting to play for his state school (cough - Ayo - cough).

Once the visits start, anything can happen. Every kid is different. Griffin said he was prepared to make a commitment during a visit if the comfort level was there. Castleton said there was no way he would make a decision until all of the visits were done. We have to hope that Ayo is committed to holding off on a decision.

Castleton is headed to FL if they offer, will not commit on his visits.

Conditt is going to visit here before he decides, he's taking his OV's to far away schools and UV's to close ones like ILL, Iowa State etc.

Ayo may be intrigued by USC but they're a football school? and he would have to share the ball a lot.

He has really liked Wake Forest for a long time though, and them getting an OV doesn't surprise me.

I don't know if we will get an OV or he will wind up doing something similar to what Conditt is doing, but at the end of the day BU will have the opportunity to get the W in this recruitment.

It isn't just 17 year olds.

IDK about Wake but if I had official visits to make, USC or UCLA would definitely make my list too. ;):D

It's great that he's going to make the visits, he has earned the right, he's been playing basketball all summer. His skills are rare , we will have to wait all the hoopla. His cut down was to come soon. Maybe that will give us a indication of where we stand.;)

Sounds like he's just announcing officials scheduled and yet to be?
