It’s not that he didn’t have to be a rebounder, he’s just not good at it. He’s too soft to play inside and completely forgot how to shoot the basketball this past season. What if OA can solve that issue? He never had to be a big rebounder at Wisky. What if he can be a 12-7 guy? Would that work?
Yep, that’s the man. Played for him 60 yrs agoadogster is that a picture of Lee "The Swammy" Eilbracht?
Mark Smith just entered the portal. I tried to post this 5 minutes ago but I’m laughing so hard I can barely breathe.

replying to myself again, ugh.I certainly hope so. But he has to be able to get open/create his shot. He had difficulties this season with athletic/lanky defenders. Also, got snuffed on drives far too often. Spot shooting, I think, yeah, he's the guy. But when a top defender is on him? Jury's out. Hopefully, he's learned a lot from this season and puts in the necessary work to advance his game.

I think Brad should bring him back as a non scholarship player and put him in charge of treadmill maintenance.
Now that is funny isn't it. LOLMark Smith just entered the portal. I tried to post this 5 minutes ago but I’m laughing so hard I can barely breathe.
When little me initially became enamored with Illini sports nearly 60 years ago my three "heros" were Bill Burwell, Jimmy Warren, and Lloyd Flodin.Yep, that’s the man. Played for him 60 yrs ago
I think with or without Hutch, it's going to be more equal opportunity, even when it comes to taking the last shot. Which is just fine with me personally, since I thought Ayo's notoriety as "The Closer" made our end of game a little too predictable (granted, he somehow delivered every time despite that).replying to myself again, ugh.
Anyway, I forgot about Hutch. Assuming he's healthy, he'll probably be option 1A. Miller will be 1B. Good problem to have.
Completely agree. Everyone needs to be ready to shoot. Run some pick and roll action with Andre, and let him find the open man.I think with or without Hutch, it's going to be more equal opportunity, even when it comes to taking the last shot. I like the idea of not one closer, although if Kofi comes back I would feed him, we are at least getting a foul.Completely agree. Everyone needs to be ready to shoot. Run some pick and roll action with Andre, and let him find the open man.
Hopefully we have enough players that no one will need to be “the Man”
Although if Adam transforms into the AceWolf, that would be nice.
No it wouldn’t. Kid is who he is at this point. Would rather give Hawkins a chance 100%. At least he plays defense. What if OA can solve that issue? He never had to be a big rebounder at Wisky. What if he can be a 12-7 guy? Would that work?
I like Cole and hope he works on his game over the summer. But we could use another big. But I get the hesitancy. No it wouldn’t. Kid is who he is at this point. Would rather give Hawkins a chance 100%. At least he plays defense.
Can attest to the fact that Belo is working hard on his 3 pt range right now, based on his Instagram account. He has one, it's just a matter of unlocking it at game speed. He is going to make a big leap next year.Curbelo with the ball in his hand would be fine too. he doesn’t have to take the last shot but he could create a shot for someone else.
I would take Thompson over Reuvers if we're talking in-conference PF transfers. It’s not that he didn’t have to be a rebounder, he’s just not good at it. He’s too soft to play inside and completely forgot how to shoot the basketball this past season.
Agree. Reuvers is soft. Reminds me of Nick SmithI would take Thompson over Reuvers if we're talking in-conference PF transfers.
That kid is tough.
Charmin-like... And as somebody else said, he also forgot how to shoot this year. That's a bad combination.Agree. Reuvers is soft. Reminds me of Nick Smith
Not sure Kofi at the line in crunch time is always a good thing.I like the idea of not one closer, although if Kofi comes back I would feed him, we are at least getting a foul.
Agreed, but he made the important ones later in the season and I don't see an alpha closer yet.Not sure Kofi at the line in crunch time is always a good thing.
This is where someone like Myles Johnson could help. Giorgi can't guard Big 10 centers for 25-30 minutes a game.Giorgi can't stay in games due to excessive fouling.
Lots to choose from here......Kinda like the last shot of the Indiana game
