As I said earlier today, Tilmon is seriously intrigued by Depaul. Bowen is supposedly going to visit Depaul before he announces.

I can't imagine Tilmon wants to play with those guy again. Watching them a few times on TV they never got him the ball inside whatsoever. They didn't even so much look to go inside to him.

This Depaul situation is very Pat Kennedy-esque. Leitao has a losing record in 11 seasons as a HC. He won a lot during his first stint with the Blue Demons, but that was in C-USA.......In the last 2 seasons as a Big East coach he has gone 9-23 and 9-22. This should be a very short term situation.

No sir. THT will be college teammates with Ayo.

Do you actually have some sort of connection to THT or Ayo? You are VERY confident and persistent that we are getting them. Just curious.

Yes I am aware of the Heirman hire. That said, there's no guarantee he is there forever and no guarantee Campbell doesn't flip if he gets interest from blue bloods etc., etc. The reclassification to 2018 means it is more solid than if he was still a 2019, though.
I think he'll stick there as long as Heirman does. Good chance Bowen signs on too -- if he leaves Oregon without committing, which seems likely since he's already taken 5 officials and a ton of unofficials and not committed yet. Even though Bowen wouldn't be there when Tyger shows up, with what DePaul has coming back and in, Tugs would probably get 25 shots a game and just watching him with Meanstreets last summer, that kid does love to shoot. He won't get that kind of green light at any of the better teams he's been considering.

No way does DePaul and the city of Chicago spend all that money for a new arena and put a crappy product on the floor. Look for some strange recruitments from DePaul the next few years.

4 spots in late spring available...

Last 4 in?

My hope is Brad unearths 2 big men and two 2 5th years and rolls those two schollies into next year. Finke, Ayo THT and a big would be a hell of a class

Here's my question. Worst case scenario (just for arguments sake), we don't get any more commitments for 2017. Then what? Do we take 4 walk-ons so we have warm bodies or do we roll with what we have? That's an awfully small team, with an awfully short bench. This DJW transfer was REALLY late and surprising (to me) because given the size situation, I think he had minutes coming out of need, if nothing else.

If we get to that point, I think we reach on 5th year transfers to have practice bodies and maybe we get lucky and find a contributor. If nobody contributes that's fine, it doesn't impact the schollie situation for next year. As you said that's for arguments sake in desperation.

My guess is we get two more commitments and roll two schollys over.

We already have 4 walk-ons, not necessarily bigs, but they are available.

I do. THT will be the first of the two to commit.
this would make me very happy. Every time I see this kid the more I want him in O&B.
As Henricksen says -
THT has the type of well-rounded game you just don’t find anymore as he can pass, dribble and shoot while playing with an outstanding basketball I.Q.
Everybody knows how good Ayo would be, but a lot of people, I think, still have questions about THT.

I think we get one more incoming first year player and fill 2 or 3 of the remaining spots with 5th year transfers. That would give BU at least 3 open schollies next season. The transfer from Wright State or Pitt plus a rim protector. Perhaps McKyle McIntosh is on the radar as well.

The transfer from Pitt has already cut us from his final list.
