For someone who is new here and has no idea what's happening, why is this comment is so funny? (sorry)Lead recruiter was Wilford Brimley

Wilford Bromley was the guy who did the commercials for diabetic testing supplies back in the 90s? 2000s? Whenever it was...and the recruit's name is similar to diabetesFor someone who is new here and has no idea what's happening, why is this comment is so funny? (sorry)
I must be on a U of I related site when Brimley is auto correcting to Bromley.Wilford Bromley was the guy who did the commercials for diabetic testing supplies back in the 90s? 2000s? Whenever it was...and the recruit's name is similar to diabetes
The charge he takes at the .05 second mark was all I needed to see to be convinced he's a BU type of player. For those of you who really know his game, where would you rank his basketball IQ? He's got talent and he's tough - think he'll be able to limit the # of knucklehead plays on either end of the court to get significant time as a frosh? This video is a good watch, it was just posted yesterday. Not just a highlight video, you get a good idea of his game.
Yes, he would’ve been the sugar on top of this classI've watched Diabete play a couple of times. His game is sweet!

First time I've laughed at one of these pun jokes on here. Is diabetes funny to me?In your opinion, do you think he was born with this talent , we will call this type 1, or do you believe he acquired this talent through lifestyle, we will call this type 2?
I would say type 2. He will definitely be on a 6000 calorie diet.In your opinion, do you think he was born with this talent , we will call this type 1, or do you believe he acquired this talent through lifestyle, we will call this type 2?

We have room for 3 starting high caliber guards, so come on down and help us continue this major roll we are on, Ty Ty. Play in the best league in college and attend a university that is known all over the world as a high caliber academic institution.Maybe so... having last visit certainly helps, but I’m not trusting anything at this point!
We’ve struggled extremely bad to close of late, and we’re asking Tyrone to potentially play along side two other high-caliber guards when he wants immediate playing time... and he is certainly dynamic enough to earn it, no question!
I will just hold out a little closer ‘til his birthday to better see where the cards stand (at that time) before I start getting too excited about ty ty “rumors”

I missed it too, and I have been here for years. I was thinking it was some type of Grape Nuts reference. For someone who is new here and has no idea what's happening, why is this comment is so funny? (sorry)
Hard to say for sure, but you should probably monitor the situation.First time I've laughed at one of these pun jokes on here. Is diabetes funny to me?
I can't stop watching this. It looks like a Rick Allen bobblehead.
Wilfred Brimley passed away not long ago. I wish posters on this thread would stick to recruiting news and opine upon that subject.

Have faith in the Man (Brad Underwood). Look how quickly he has gone from the Bottom to the Top.
I'll say "What is 2 weeks!"What's the appropriate amount of time to wait after someone passes to speak their name?
More importantly, how long before it's ok to forget how to spell their name? What's the appropriate amount of time to wait after someone passes to speak their name?
