Just carried off court in Bloomington with what appears to be serious knee issue. Could hear a pin drop in gym

23 points for #Illini PG signee Trent Frazier in a win. Can be a bucket-getter right away in Champaign. Let him develop & watch out.

@DPiperScout

Illinois recruit Da'Monte Williams helped off after fall for Manual just 1:12 into game with Bloomington.

@Pg_Reinhardt

Jeremiah Tilmon looks part with great footwork along baseline for 2 and terrific hands w/ catch in open court for transition basket

The knee injury that Damonte suffered probably means, he will redshirt during his freshman year, right? (IF in fact it is an ACL tear.)

He came back and sat on the bench with an icebag on his knee.

Is it possible to walk after an ACL
Tear or is this a "good sign"?

It is possible. It is even possible to run if enough time has passed. Had a friend who tore his and could run in straight line about a month later. He didn't even have his surgery until he was about 6 weeks post injury. He also tore mcl/pcl and meniscus.

Also, for people who don't participate in athletics, sometimes they don't even get it fixed when it happens.

My cousin hurt her knee playing bball, but was able to walk fine that evening. The next morning when she got out of bed she couldn't walk. Torn ACL. Tore the other knee a couple of years later.

I've torn both. With both tears I was able to walk of the field/court in a matter of minutes but new something wasn't right.

You technically don't need the ACL to run or walk. I have a friend who I played flag football with who tore his ACL in college playing football. He didn't know until years later. The trainers told him that he just had a bad sprain. The muscles in his leg were strong enough that he never knew, until he reinjured his knee and got an MRI.
