I know everyone is saying Wilkes to UCLA, but he's going to be a Hoosier. It's been that way for a few months.

Lists 8 best 2019-20 kids, 7 of whom we either are, were or will be in on, assuming Brayboy's recent visit meant we're going to pursue him. (Hope we do, he looked pretty good in the MIF u15 videos from the summer.) [FONT=&quot]

I wouldnt be at all shocked if we didn't have 5 or 6 schollys to give for this class, and lets hope we can land at least 4 of these guys,

sorry ment to say 6 or 7 we should have 5 just from who should be SR, wouldn't be shocked to lose JT as well after 2 years so could really be a big class again

With the Wilkes boat sailing away from us.. how do we find and fill the rest of the spots with the mid-tiered diamonds? The pack in the middle probably have similar scoring/passing/rebounding ability, so the separators are most likely the intangibles. For us outsiders, I watch player mixtapes online and maybe get to watch a game or two on TV, but you don't really see the intangibles just from a game or two. Do coaches in college get to see AAU players workout (strength, stamina, and other intangibles)? Wait, is scheduled workout even a thing in AAU?

Odds are that they won't take a mid-tier wing recruit to take the place of Wilkes. For them to take another recruit at that position, the recruit would have to be better than Kipper Nichols, Javon Pickett or DJ Williams. If he isn't, then they would save that scholarship for next year (Tim Finke?).

If they take another recruit this year, it will likely be a big. Either Kiir or a fifth year big would be most likely.

This is really some select company for Frazier.
Knox--heavy Duke lean
Brown-Wake Forest
Wilkes--Florida State
Dawson--Okl. State
Polite--Florida State
Nickelberry-Memphis
Simons--Louisville lean

You really wanted Chastain didn't you? Seriously though, I think quite a few of us have said the thing we believe the most from Groce is his talent evaluation. If he feels a kid is worthy of wearing the O&B, he's shown he'll offer and pursue. If there are late risers, I trust him to be on top of that. Remember, we got in on TJL pretty late in the process. Also, I really think it's imperative to keep some class balance here. I would take both Kiir and Epperson but that doesn't seem likely. If we miss on them, Wooten and don't make a run at any late risers, pocket those schollies for 2018 and grab some 5th years that contribute in 2017. We will need some extra experience in 2017 with the influx of young guys we'll have.

Wooten would be a long shot now that Arizona and Kansas has offered. He's already become a National recruit, so I doubt he happens.

A little off topic but the article reminded me of some things...I'm interested to see where JCL's little brother ends up. And how Kezo is doing these days.

Kezo had a great summer on the Fire 16U team, in the same backcourt with Ayo most of the time --Ayo played up on 17U a lot in July -- and should be back blazing with Simeon this year.
