When asked about the the winter weather, he said, "Compared to Australian weather, it's not good. I don't like it here, it's too cold, but I will have to get use to it."

Does he have to get use to it because he wants to come to Illinois?

Sounds like a kid who'll be looking for Florida or CA offers...

For those in the Springfield area East St. Louis and Champaign Central will be getting ready to tip shortly. You can catch it on channel 22 for those with Comcast. Good opportunity to see Tilmon and Finke go at it. Tomorrow you can catch Damonte Williams and Peoria Manual.

If anyone catches the game a recap would be appreciated

That's right down the street from me. Spud Webb is in attendance!

24-13 Central early in 2nd quarter. ESL completely unable to get JT the ball. Gilbert getting coached out of the gym so far.

38-22 Central at half. JT finally got some touches and predictably dominated when he did. Central totally outplaying ESL though. Finke looks very good.

Agree with comments above. Central very discllined. Finke (coach) doing a great job. Tilmon his stronger than I expected...and does have some post moves. Finke (player) like good. You can tell he is a coaches kid

47-24 Central with 3:30 to go in 3rd. These 2 teams don't belong on the same floor. Gilbert couldn't misuse JT more if he tried, and Finke gets everything out of his guys. Outside of JT, this ESL team is really bad.

Esl poorly coached they either shoot or turn it over before JT gets down the court.

After watching that, it's hard to imagine that Tilmon is the salvation of our program.

Anybody thinking that needs slapped in the face. He's going to be a good player that will most likely struggle the first year. This isn't Jahlil Okafor

I came away very impressed with both JT and Finke.

Definitely frustrated that JT chose to go back to ESL though. After watching that debacle, it's hard to imagine he's going to develop a whole lot this season. Especially compared to the level of coaching he'd receive at LaLu.

Agree. He would have been better served if he stayed a la lumiere. Much better competition and teammates.

I've watched Tilmon many time and have warned people on multiple posts. I really like his potential, but he has a long way to go, and he is not even in the ballpark of being 1-n-done. I'd be surprised if the is 2-n-done as well.

He has size and is talented though. One thing that he needs to improve IMO is his shot release. He has a very low shot release, he needs to keep the ball higher on his shot.
