Is there a link showing those stats? I have a hard time believing Wake is academically ranked #294...no way it is that low.

From the Times Higher Education

https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/university-illinois-urbana-champaign

https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/wake-forest-university

They are actually ranked ahead of us Nationally according to USNews criteria.
#27 to #52 but if you look at the link above...it shows WF ranked 52nd per US News 2018 rankings. Weird.

What is this RJ nonsense they keep talking about over on that board? Is that some sort of inside joke? I see no messages or posts about anyone over there on this board.

Also Why the Deac Not, yes you are Rubes. :p

I think most of what they are saying is about another Illini Board since they mentioned it being Prem info

The background to Ayo's twitter page is awesome, I'm guessing it's bulletin material for him this season and for his first year of college.
replying to @prepbullseye
"He is good but not a UK type kid meaning 1 and done."

To be fair, their response is probably accurate, but you can tell that he probably uses that as motivation.

I tried reading one page from the wake forest board and I think I have cancer. I know we can be arrogant but damn, they really are clueless

The back and forth on this board and the Wake board killed my productivity today. Oh well, fun times :peace:

Thanks Sky.

You bet. I think the US News criteria includes a whole slew of factors such as affordability, campus location, GPA, class size, blah blah blah...

I don't think anyone connected to higher education would argue that Wake Forest is ahead of the U of I with regard to academia. They are a fine University, but it's a different level of size and research at Illinois. :illinois:

World University Rankings

Remember, these are international rankings that focus solely on academic factors within research universities. The rankings should not be compared to popular US rankings that take into account other nonacademic factors from $$ to dorm life.

Anyone else see in Evan's periscope where Coach David Williams commented saying Danny Manning is wasting his time ;)

No I am not giving my endorsement to Evan either just decided to watch cause I had nothing else to do

I can understand them not knowing the innerworkings of the Chicago AAU/HS basketball machine, but it's kind of funny but also insulting seeing them post about only hiring Chin Coleman to get Ayo. Ignoring his years of experience as head coach of Mac Irvin Fire and Whitney Young and his countless contacts, inroads, and connections to the Chicago basketball scene as well as his years of experience as a college assistant coach is unfair to everything he has accomplished.

I watched the first half of the Dec 04(05 season) game vs WF in it's entirety.

It's honestly the most worthwhile thing i've done today.
Quality time spent. :illinois:

If we can get a GIF made of when Dee makes the and-1 layup and is sitting on the floor, nodding his head, that would be great.

You would never see anything like that from the collective on here...

So did I and I was at the game that night. Still fun to rewatch. I completely forgot that Deron played almost no minutes in the first half that night. That was one of those games where at the 12 minute if you were a WF fan, you knew it was going to be a long night.

Watching that game reminded me how fast we pushed tempo that year.

Oh nothing like this is ever done in recruiting. Michael porter sr got a job at Washington because of his amazing prowess as a women's assistant no doubt. And then he was so good Cuonzo needed to snatch him up quick.

Coleman helps us with Ayo, THT, Whitney, Miller, and every other Chicago player while he is here.

I like that as you get lower in the rankings, they become tiered. That is the way all school rankings should be.

Also, UCLA is a great school but to put it above Berkeley is pure crazy. Berkeley is the gold standard for public universities.

...completely off topic, I know.
