NBA Drafy.Net has them at #31 and #32.

I've been going to NBADraft.net for probably 10 years and they are pretty notorious for being terrible at evaluating where guys will get drafted. DraftExpress is a way more legit operation.

Why do you keep going there, then?

I really hope Illinois get Abu, like the attitude he brings to his game, no back down

Today's scrimmage was supposed to start at 11, I thought, but it did not start until about 40 minutes later. Crowd of maybe 20-25 fans watching. I did not think the intensity level of the scrimmage was as high as last week, but that is understandable considering who was there last week and how many fans showed up.

Ray Rice was on hand and scrimmaged with the team.

There was also a 6-7ish recruit there on what appeared to be an unofficial. Parham talked with him at length. He was there with what seemed to be a coach and some family. I did not recognize him, but I was pretty far away. He did not play.

Attention was centered on Kigab. He is a lanky looking 6-7ish kid. He definitely was not shy about shooting and playing defense. He blocked Rice's shot twice. I did worry for a minute that Rice was going to get too physical with Kigab and leave a bad impression. Ray does not like to be challenged. :) Rice did play well at times, but I was focused more on Kigab . Kigab showed an athletic game out to three point line. He took the ball into the lane and twice scored as he was being fouled relatively hard. Early, he missed a number of 20 foot jumpers as it appeared that he wanted to show that he belonged. He did warm up later from distance. He worked hard on defense as he was often matched with Rice, Hill, Nichols, or Williams. Each had some success against him as you can tell that he is used to using his athleticism to guard at the high school level. Each of the four "schooled" him with dribble drive moves at one point, but he seems to be a kid who will learn from it. He is not Wilkes, but he is pretty darn good.

I think kigab is better than advertised. He's not only athletic but fairly physically developed at this stage. He'll be a good player

from what little you got to see would you say Abu is more of a 2/3 or a 3/4 just wondering if you think we could go with a small lineup of lets say Black Kipper Abu DW Trent I picked DW over JCl just based on I think he is more athletic and better on D

I think Kijab is more of a 3/4. I don't think Black could play in the middle for long stretches.

I could see a lineup with Tilmon, Black, Nichols, JCL, Frazier or Lucas.

I don't think there is much chance of a freshman Damonte Williams beating out a junior JCL. I think JCL is likely the best player/go to scorer on that team.

I wasn't meaning for long stretches more like just to run a full court press or to really try to go up tempo for short amounts or time, I am sure Tilmon will be playing as much as he is able

Kigab...I'm assuming it is pronounced Kijab though?

I saw that young man sitting down on the bench when Parham was talking to him. They sat up by me during football game and there was maybe 2-3 team mates with him. They had St Louis basketball maybe AAU t-shirts on.

I believe maybe this was the stand out 6'8" 245 Missouri 2018 recruit
Carte'Are Gordon in which we have been recruiting.

Gordon was recently on campus with Ramey so if he is back again so soon that would be a great sign.

I truly believe him and Ramey are the top 2 on JG wish list for 2018 that is IF we have 2 spots to fill if not then I believe he would want any of the 3 PGs or Gordon as plan A with finke right behind and im sure he would take the first to say yes

4-star SF @Abu_Kigab23 tells me #Illini official visit was a "great experience". Really bonded w/ Malcolm Hill. Like a "big brother".

CBs still 100% Oregon fwiw.

Like that he bonded with one of our guys, but I can't think that holds much weight since Malcolm won't be around next year.

My thoughts as well, would much rather he bonded with one of the Sophomores or maybe with Wilkes, Tilmon, DaWilliams, & Pickett.

Any mutual interest between Illinois and Eastern? Is Damonte the combo guard we want and don't want another WF unless it is a tall athletic 6-7 type?

Any other have plans to set up visits?
