I don't understand why the blame is shifted to insiders. Even reporters from other schools were reporting early in the week that it was likely Illinois. Things changed. Get over yourselves.“Insiders” once again.

Things are different now with the nil stuff. Way more unpredictable. We were leading this firmly until yesterday.I don't understand why the blame is shifted to insiders. Something, something, fluid. Things changed. Not the fault of the insiders or their connections.“Insiders” once again.
This, times infinity.I don't understand why the blame is shifted to insiders. Even reporters from other schools were reporting early in the week that it was likely Illinois. Things changed. Get over yourselves.
Not your fault brother. We don't seem to win very many of these type of recruitments. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Kofi comes back to the ILLINI because that would be the best news for us a fan base.Things are different now with the nil stuff. Way more unpredictable. We were leading this firmly until yesterday.
I think I'll wait until we actually, you know, play some games.I have said to hell with professional basketball and I’m really close to saying it about college basketball
@LvilleILL Garcia a done deal? Are you hearing anything about Kofi? When is this late week meeting?should know in a day or two. we have a ton of playing time to sell though
García and Kofi were complementary pieces in theory. Although, with Kofi wanting to develop more of a mid-range game, having more of an opportunity there could be more attractive. That being said, I think with Kofi it's going to come down to how he's utilized (to improve his draft stock) and how much money he'll make. He's older and it's a pretty open secret that he's ready to start earning yesterday.Could that mean that Garcia going to UNC means Kofi coming back to UI. Who knows. We are still going to be a good team. I do not see us being middle of the pack BT team.
We still have slots to fill. Until then who knows. IF we fail to land anymore impact guys, I don’t see us cracking the top 4.Could that mean that Garcia going to UNC means Kofi coming back to UI. Who knows. We are still going to be a good team. I do not see us being middle of the pack BT team.
Honestly, I think it means Kofi is not coming back. The NIL changes everything. It’s about getting paid. The big boys can make bigger offers and it’s legal (sorta). Lord knows I’d like to be proven wrong but my gut says he’s gone. Everything he’s posted sounds like goodbye and a transfer to a blue blood, in his mind, is a move upward toward his ultimate goal.Could that mean that Garcia going to UNC means Kofi coming back to UI. Who knows. We are still going to be a good team. I do not see us being middle of the pack BT team.
Hopefully this is a wake up call to the staff re: Kofi. Go all in, throw the damn algorithm in the trash, and make him rich.Things are different now with the nil stuff. Way more unpredictable. We were leading this firmly until yesterday.
Yes, but no more "no-sit" transfers after this year. The same thing that happens when players are promised certain playing time and don’t get it. Transfer market opens its arms wide again
Things changed. Get over yourselves.
oh well........on to the next target.
And who cares if they did, every word 0440 said was more exciting to me than any of the thousands of comments by thousands of fans on this forum including myself.Did they? I think one of the reasons insiders have a bad rep on this forum, is that reports of "leading" come across as implying the lead will hold when it counts (at the end). That's simply not the case. Leading and getting sniped is still missing out. IMO the reason national analysts are better than our insiders is that they know how things speed up and get closed, how offers generate counter-offers, what tricks are in the bag, and where things are likely headed. (For those reasons, you can guess what I think will happen with Kofi.)
Personally, I enjoy the discussion, but until I see us improve our closing rate, I won't expect these to go our way. And I say this as someone who's been impressed with recruiting overall. The team has excellent talent, better chemistry, and a better product on the court. But, we aim high and have plenty of misses with recruiting. Underwood has shown that he can put together a top team.
I may have missed something, but doesn't everyone get 1 no-sit transfer and if transferring again it will be handled on a case by case basis?Yes, but no more "no-sit" transfers after this year.
