Someone on Twitter is talking to others via DM about this transfer option. A friend wouldn't tell me specifically who this guy said it was, but he said I'd be excited if it happens. And the kid currently plays in the Midwest. (?) No clue if the Twitter account or my friend are full of it. That's the most info I've heard FWIW.
You heard it on the internet so it must be true.

Yeah, this is true. Obviously take it with a huge grain of salt. And again, no names were given. But it at least was more info than we've gotten. I'm trying to think of other players in the Midwest that might be logical transfer candidates. David Jones of DePaul was my thought. Maybe Bryce Hopkins? I dunno. Regardless, it's still pretty unclear if anything at all will happen here.

A lot of smoke from different sources - makes me pause to think there is something here

Watched some videos of him. He's a 6-6 sophomore who likes to take it to the rim. Explosive athlete, who doesn't show an inclination to shoot jump shots. He's very skinny, but MaxPreps says he weighs 0. LOL
The good news is that after Fletch has a year with him, he'll probably add something like 10% of his body weight in new lean muscle mass. So that means he'd be up to, uh,

Was he also a barber or a hotdog vendor...I think you are pulling my leg...if not thanks for any info.

Kenwood has at least 4 P5 recruits on their roster and they've got 7 losses. Every summer, the Fire is just overloaded with talent, and they win nothing. It's almost unbelievable how they can consistently do so little with so much. I don't even have much faith we'll get to see Kenwood on TV for the state title.
let’s here the names. I count 1 P5 recruit playing at Kenwood

Well pretty simple: Trey Pettigrew, Darren Ames, Davius Loury and I could certainly see Darius Robinson playing D1 ball but at a smaller school than the first 3.

Then you've also got 6'10" So Jaden Smith, 6'7" Fr Aleks Alston as well.

Pettigrew is already comitted to Nevada over schools like Penn State, Nebraska, DePaul, Georgia and Missou. Says we offered, but we know how Underwood can be a little lax with offers. Ames is one of our higher priority targets and if we miss on Boswell could be our top target. Loury has an offer from us as well as LSU, Purdue, Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, etc.

I think it is safe to say they've got more talent on their roster than any school in the state save maybe Brother Rice.

Do they consider Texas Midwest? I don’t, but if they do I like Terrance Shannon.

There’s a difference between D1 and P5…

And there’s a difference between “got an offer” and playing/committing there. Not saying they aren’t the most talented team, but to say they have at least 4 P5 players is a stretch based on future development and counting Nevada as a P5 school…

It’s also worth noting that only 3 of their losses are to Illinois teams, the rest are from other states. They holly some really good competition

Ames, Loury, and the 2 young players will highly likely be P5. Pettigrew had the option to and chose a different school.

Not sure how trying to be nitpicky changes the point of my post. A team loaded with talent has an awful lot of losses and its a trend with a certain family of coaches.

They lost to 3 schools from Illinois, the other losses are out of state competition.

Illinois also has a LOT of talent.
