Why not neck size or admissions?
We talking neck sizes again?

With Bryce leaving, is this back-to-back Illinois guys to go there and kinda wash out? I’ve already forgot the other guy’s name, but he was another SF we heavily recruited.
Maybe this will get JJ to think twice…

Edit: BuddyJ said this on page 4😃

247Sports: At his best, Curbelo is an electric playmaker with immense speed and athleticism that allows him to blow past defenders. At his worst, he makes some head-scratching decisions that lead to baffling turnovers or forced shots. The most consistent aspect of Curbelo’s game is his defense. He is one of the best on-ball defenders in the entire nation despite flying under the radar when it comes to recognition. Curbelo would fit perfectly on a team that plays a lot of man defense and puts an offensive onus on winning 1-on-1 matchups.

- Not sure where defense comment came from. Andre gambled too much for steals, could not lock people down like Trent or DaMonte
- He was terrible shooter last year both from three and mid range

He was a much better defender than many gave him credit for. His advanced stats for defense are actually better than offense.

It's a solid stat line for sure, but not close to great. Would have been 4th in points, 7th in rebounds, and 5th in assists on last years Illini team. Then again, Tech looks like they spread things around . He was 2nd in points right above two others, 8th in rebounds, and 3rd in assists.

Now if he is a plus defender that take it up a notch, and if he was injured I can see him having more upside. Which is why I asked :)
TSJ has been cropping up on NBA mock draft boards every year since he was a freshman. That's all I need to see to know what kind of talent he'd bring to the table (though his stats are also good).

Skyy Clark is a sturdy and compact lead guard. His explosion was one of his best traits before tearing ligaments in his knee in June of 2021. Clark possessed a quick first step and was able to elevate and take contact when attacking the basket. Re-gaining the burst and the confidence in his knee is unknown. He came back in January, around six months after the injury. While the explosion was not there, during his handful of games at Montverde (FL) Academy, Clark showed a smooth-looking jump shot and some glimpses of vision and play creation via the pass. The talent is evident; the question mark will be the confidence in making plays off his knee.

Wow 6 months? ACL recoveries are getting insanely quick now. Here's to hoping strengthening with Fletch can get that burst back.

NEW ORLEANS -- Last spring and summer, Xavier Booker showed enough promise to earn four-star status as he prepared for his junior year. Now, he's turning that promise into more consistent production and is on the verge of making a huge leap this spring and summer as high major programs near home continue to make him a major priority.

A 6-foot-11 big man at Indianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral, Booker had several impressive moments over the weekend at USA Basketball's minicamp and he looks primed to make a leap up from his current ranking of no. 89 overall in the class of 2023.

“I think it has definitely been about confidence," Booker told 247. "I’m so much more confident and I also spend a lot of time working on my game. My ball handling, my shooting, finishing better around the rim and just playing with a more consistent motor have all been my focuses.”

You are way off re: defense - he's pretty outstanding in that area. Same goes for rebounding.

Yup. Per BU's postgame press conferences, Belo consistently graded out as our best defender at the end of the season. It's baffling to me how some in our fanbase were unable to recognize just how good he was on defense. I guess people only see what they want to, though. Luckily for everyone, the Belo discourse is no longer necessary, despite some wanting to beat the heck out of that dead horse.

Used to have my AAU practice at Norcross all the time in high school. So many studs have come through that school.
