- Not sure where defense comment came from. Andre gambled too much for steals, could not lock people down like Trent or DaMonte
- He was terrible shooter last year both from three and mid range

Last year I would have totally agreed with you. I thought he did great in that regard this year, though much smaller sample size.

You all remember the days when we would be on here holding out hope that a guy would commit to Illinois, then watch all the experts predict that kid going to the other school in the last few hours before his announcement?
Yeah, let's not go back to those days where we were the kids second and third choice. Crazy to see how far this program has come in 5 years.

There was a time during our 3-month assistant coaching search last year where I was getting legitimately nervous. It felt like it could be another instance of us climbing so close to the peak of that mountain only to tumble back down again. Thankfully, BU and JW are incredible talent scouts and brought in, I'm not sure it's even arguable anymore, better assistants that can recruit their butts off. I'm incredibly excited about this year's recruiting class and I can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeves.
