Fair point and I agree, just want to quibble with Nick Smith. He was in the rotation until he was passed up by Ingram, and I’m sad to say he was not a great cheer leader from the bench. He had some of the worst body language I’ve ever seen, both on and off the court. So, agree with you that what you described is the perfect role for the 13th guy, but disagree that Nick Smith is a good example.
Oh man...I forgot "resting Nick face" from the bench.

I’m just excited to watch 2 of our guys in the Jordan Brand Classic this afternoon.

Maybe we hear some news, that would be nice

Skyy said in the WCIA interview he's not sure whether he's going to play in the JB Classic. Fingers crossed he does!

He didn’t participate in the practice that they had yesterday unfortunately so it doesn’t seem like he’s gonna play, but what do I know?

Agreed. Nate Mast and Nick Smith were polar opposites in every way possible.

Purdue has gotta be up there with us.
Yeah, but we’ve been to two Final Fours (and gotten FOUR #1 seeds) since their last Final Four … I think, based on reading their boards occasionally, their psychological hurdle is just making the final weekend.

With us? 2005 wasn’t THAT long ago … we’ve been to the Final Four EIGHT years more recently than Arizona, for example. But that Natty?? If we won the NC next year, we’d have 1 NC, 6 Final Fours and 32 NCAAT appearances, plus maybe a FIFTH #1 seed and our 19th Big Ten title. The lack of that NC keeps us in the neighborhood of Arkansas, Cincinnati and Oklahoma rather than Syracuse or Arizona historically, for many casual fans. Given our other VERY impressive historical stats, we’d literally jump from like 20th all-time to 12th overnight.

Add in the fact that we’ve had some heartbreaking near misses … and we WANT IT BAD! ;)

Arkansas has won a National Championship (and not that long ago). Even Cincinnati won two in the early 60s, but I'd discount them a bit since back then the NCAA Tournament was arguably less prestigious than the NIT.
