I'm going back..to a place that's far away
Imagine complaining about unreliable information on a free board.
That’s where you messed up. You should’ve been waiting for dominoes to fall, not puzzle pieces. /sNot complaining, simply eagerly waiting for the puzzle pieces to align.
Well yeah. The 3 point shot was BY FAR more impactful to the game. That was the point of the post.Sure, let's compare a 3 point shot to the 1400+ players transferring every year in terms of its impact on the game. Super comparable.
Haha!I'm going back..to a place that's far away
How dare you post recruiting news....
Wouldn’t be shocked if we reached out on this one
I think the transfer rule is ending...it's a one time use... then you have to wait a year unless you get a waiver...I didn't like the DH in baseball at 1st either..
Lucinda Dickey from the movie BreakinNo, Erin Moran (if memory serves) would have been much older by then.
Micah Potter (Wiscy & OSU)It used to be a thing where a school could block a player from transferring to another school, in conference. I know that's no longer a thing...but are there any recent examples of a player transferring from one B1G school to another?

Some southern school just blocked a player...so it still is a thing...It used to be a thing where a school could block a player from transferring to another school, in conference. So you're now using a straw man to win this argument? You're again comparing very different things and pretending they are the same. The one time transfer rule impacts way more. And across all sports. There's an article on Stack that talks about how high school quarterbacks are not being signed like they once were. Why? Because teams are just going after transfers instead. Mid major programs will be screwed even worse than before as players that show promise will immediately leave. And while it's nice to sit around and believe Illinois will benefit from the rule, will people still have that feeling in 2 years when RJ Melendez leads Kansas to the championship game to face Ty Rodgers, Skyy Clark and the Duke Blue Devils?

I think this board would be 1/3 of the amount of pages if we stuck to recruiting news…How dare you post recruiting news....

Some hate it. Some don't mind it. Let's move on.You're again comparing very different things and pretending they are the same. The one time transfer rule impacts way more. And across all sports. Wait a minute. So we should settle for jumpers then everytime? Should we do away with post ups altogether then?
What about exploiting a mismatch? How about when we go cold as a coal mine from
outside?…and we desperately need a score.
How about the Baylors, the Texas Techs, Houston’s, and the Virginias of the world that all generally guard slashers and straight line drives (uniquely) but exceedingly well. How about against a tough zone team. What if you can’t: beat ‘em down the court, or if they adjust take away the high post flash, and you simply
can’t shoot from 3pt land that day…
Sure, efficient execution, distort the zone,
ball reversal…blah, blah…but what if none of that works?
What else is there? How about a post up?
We don’t wanna go back the other way and be completely one dimensional towards the OTHER extreme do we? Because of some
recency bias of seeing Kofi mauled inside all year. Playing that way won us a regular season title…it works. I agree playing
fast paced and facing the basket more is appealing…but let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water.
Probably sounds that way, but I’m not trying to be snarky. I’m really not.
I just think a post up is a tool in the toolbox
you don’t wanna throw out. It’s part of basketball period. A lay up is the best shot in b-ball. But a contested post up
ain’t bad. And it’s sure as hell better than a contested J.
But yet we are interested in Emoni Bates?Your guess is correct ...
