From my viewpoint you must win championships with more than one coach to be a blue blood. Otherwise you just had a blue blood coach ala Knight, Wooden, Wright. Kentucky, Kansas, and NC qualify and we’ll have to see about Duke.

Then from your viewpoint you should add UCLA who won a championship under Jim Harrick in 1995.

One of my arbitrary criteria for being a blue blood is one of the school colors has to be blue which conveniently eliminates IU from consideration...

By your criteria UConn should be added - Calhoun and Ollie.

Michigan State won a title under 2 different coaches. I also think there is a bump for teams that are affiliated with NBA all-time greats. Having Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabar, or Michael Jordan affiliated with your program is a huge benefit. Although not anywhere close to blue blood status, I believe Steph Curry permanently elevated Davidson. More than a decade after his departure, they are still making the tourney most years and won the A-10 last year.

I don't have proof, but the story I was told, was that Knight never wanted to know what his assistants or boosters were doing.
I was in Chicago during a BTT having dinner with a group when Knight and his assistants sat down. A member of our group started to approach Knight for an autograph, got halfway, Knight gave him a look which sent my friend retreating to our table. His table just sat there, not talking. Knight got up to go to the washroom at which time the others at his table started talking to each other. He returned and they all stopped talking, remaining quiet for as long as we were there. What a warm, cordial guy.

okay, you do realize that Indiana, Villanova, and UCLA have all won with other coaches as well, don't you?

When you look up the definition of A-Hole in the dictionary, his photo is next to it.
