What are we pitching to transfer bigs right now? That they're going to start over Dain? That they'll back up Dain? Or that they'll compete with Dain for a starting spot?

Guess that's the question I was really getting at. Sounds like we're looking first to guys who'd start or compete to start ahead of Dain, but ok with someone to back him up if that doesn't work out. Am I interpreting that correctly?
People are really selling Clark short. He’s most likely better than anyone on last years roster not named Kofi.
Yeah, always looking to upgrade. Staff loves Dain though and have no problem if he’s the starter
The two biggest takeaways about BU that leave me feeling confident in the team moving forward are his ability to accept needing change (and actually implementing it) and his continuous comment about liking to add pieces to the roster that add variety.
The transfer better qualify, have a supportive but undemanding family and a AAU team that is OK with his decision.

Oh well, I call it a rebuild because I define it basically on what is returning. Not sure what number I'd put on it, but with over 80% of our minutes and points leaving, that for me is definitionally a rebuild. But others might have a different definition.
I personally LOL at anyone who thinks this isn't a huge challenge.
It's kinda funny as a number of people are high on our chances in conference next year because so many teams are losing a lot (presumably going to be challenged)
all this “questioning of the staff” and broader line negativity … all because it’s April 27th and we don’t have a fully rostered team; where we already know the starting 5 and subsequent minutes for each player coming off the bench.
I understand some are trying to feed their own need to know, but the staff has a much bigger picture in mind. Let’s let it all play out

You are right, it all depends on your definition. RJ, Goode, Hawk, & Dain have all been in the system for awhile. The coaching staff obviously has a really good idea of what those guys can do. All those guys will have significant roles and presumably be a part of our 7-8 man rotation. I think all of those guys will be ready for the opportunity.
The 4 freshmen we are bringing in have enough talent to be able to challenge for minutes from day one.
When I think about a re-build, I usually think of having a deficit of talent. I don't believe we have that problem. We have an experience deficit. If we can't make up some of that by dipping into the portal, we definitely won't have that problem next year...
