I think it is fair to say, we don't want another situation where we have a guy like DMW that has to play so many minutes on our team. To have a guy that is so, so limited offensively, yet has to start and play a lot is not a great situation to be in, unless he is surrounded by the right guys. Him having to play on a team with Kofi, wasn't great for our team. If he was surrounded by offensive dudes who could space the floor and score at will, that'd be a different story, IMO.

Fully agree. Remember early in Brad’s career when he would play 0440, I mean Tyler, for a few minutes in each half when he needed everyone to calm down and get in the right position? In a perfect world, Damonte is that guy who plays 5-10 minutes a game on a final four level team. Except you’d also have him in for any kind of “other team has the last shot” defensive scenario.
Sorry to be aggressive in word choice to the prior post - but I love me some Damonte.

Is the plan with adding a veteran guard to bring Skyy off the bench, the vet off the bench or start both? And if starting both, who gets bumped to the bench?

I feel like this will be a 20-25 mpg thing. I would be very surprised if they didn't prefer to ease Skyy into things coming off a surgically repaired knee. Sure you get announced at the beginning of the game and that means something to most but essentially an even split with someone else.

Is the midnight deadline for players to notify coaches, or for coaches to notify the ncaa? i.e. Might it be another 48 hours before the players start showing up in the official portal and we really know the status?
