Illinois, Michigan and NW are the only 3 BIG teams w/o a 2023 commitment.
Does Illinois need any? Honest question. Roster is full and only two guys will leave. IMHO, BU needs to be looking for guys at the level of Shannon and Mayer....or better if he is going to improve his roster. He can afford to be discerning. And that pick would be perfect in my mind if it were AH....love his game from what I see and read. BU loaded up this past year with very talented underclassmen so no rush to fill roster spots. There is only one ball and they all want it. Slow play is good play right now....get the right guy.

With Brad Daddy portal ninja at the helm 2023 recruits are more of a want than a need.

Around here this makes you a hater.

Mayer, Shannon, Melendez, Hawkins, Clark at a minimum are gone.
mmm..... not so sure about Melendez and Clark. Going from 81/2 minutes per game to being gone might be a reach. And Clark has yet to play a minute...on a repaired knee. Only sure thing is Mayer. After that, EVERYONE on the team is iffy in this mobile day and age!

I think that the next iteration will be NIL agents whispering in players's ears about better deals/ playing time elsewhere.

Gotta keep recruiting pressure going each year... minimum two...Pf and combo/point guard for the Illini.

Coach K lasted to 75, I think Roy made it to 70. Boeheim is closing in on 93 (I think). Rick Pitino’s closing in on 70. 72’s not outside the realm of possibility.

I’m sure he thinks he has one more final four run in him. Aside from wanting that $31M
Lou Henson 73
This looks like the average age of this board....lol...I'm not terribly far off either...not me but my team....

Dunno man, averaging 40.5 minutes a game is pretty impressive, surprised he's not already gone after that!

The guy is 67 now. Don't see him sticking around that long.
My thoughts exactly. Especially with how much more demanding the college basketball world has become. Unless he just recruits out of this world each year I see him MAYBE lasting another year or two before throwing in the towel.
