Hansberry's commitment seems to have ended those recruitments. Watson dropping in rankings reinforces that they made the right call.
I just don't think this is going to be the case in the long term. It's still about the numbers and they have to come from somewhere. The transfer portal competition is going to get more intense. Now with a fixed window it's going to play out in some odd ways.
The slow crawl (extremely fast sprint) to mid-major feeder teams. Where they sell hs recruits on how many transfers they've had land at P6 schools after 1 season.
That's going to be a genius recruiting pitch...

I'd argue a couple of these guys hurt their stock though during college. Couple being Baldwin and Bassey.
There's no way of knowing if they'd have developed any better at a P5. How much is personal and how much is programmatic? Hard to say.
No way to know for sure, but you can make a pretty strong argument with Baldwin. He got thrown in as the savior, (probably way too early, as he aggravated the ankle inury that ended his high school career) and pretty much was expected to single handedly win games and save his dad's job. It's pretty hard to image a worse scenario to be honest. Possible it could've been worse, but pretty unlikely.
