Thanks for speaking up Louisville we need some good news on here so bad frNo. But the person I was alluding to will likely be visiting next week.
Also, the guy who I think will be our true point guard is not in the portal yet. In due time

Brad loves him as a depth piece. Don’t think he would start, but he would be a fantastic 6th man type of role. Can really score and defend
Yeah… I’ve watched Domask every home game for four years in Carbondale… don’t get too excited lol
Great leader for a mid major. Not really cut out to run the floor in the big 10 and provide contributions at the same time, moves around lethargically. Team player, streaky, and used to playing the 4 at 6’6. If he’s getting buzz about being an Illini top priority…. Make sure your panic button has fresh batteries lol

Didn't he write the count of Monte Cristo?Sounds as if Marcus Domask is visiting this weekend, not a splash visiter, but looks like he can at least make free throws.

I'm both an SIU grad and an Illini grad. I watched a few SIU games this year - even attended Arch Madness. He's not nearly as athletic as RJ, but he'll always be where he's supposed to be. He can shoot fairly well. He can get by in the post. He was a real leader for the Salukis - winning type player and not someone you have to teach effort or culture. Great glue guy. I'd be ecstatic if he came here.
He will be a good player for Illini. Very good depth piece. if he joins Illini you might want to revisit this post.Yeah… I’ve watched Domask every home game for four years in Carbondale… don’t get too excited lol
I don’t think anyone said he was “top priority” here. Also, players usually elevate when they’re around better talent too. More space to shoot, more focus on other players and potentially better chemistry.Great leader for a mid major. If he's a 6th or 7th man how should we feel?Great leader for a mid major. Not really cut out to run the floor in the big 10 and provide contributions at the same time, moves around lethargically. I’m just telling it like it is. Haha not saying he wouldn’t be a good role player. What I’m saying is “don’t get too excited.” as in he’s not gonna come in to C-U and win you a bunch of ball games.I don’t think anyone said he was “top priority” here. Short list of mid major players that transferred to become stars but Look at the long list of mid major transfers that become very solid role players.
Don’t douse water on the flame just yet is all I’m saying
Well if he plays hard, good teammate, and can shoot decently that’s all I care about lolI’m just telling it like it is. Haha not saying he wouldn’t be a good role player. What I’m saying is “don’t get too excited.” as in he’s not gonna come in to C-U and win you a bunch of ball games.
To be fair, SIU's offensive style is really really really boring to watch. Hard to look elite when your team consistently plays games in the 50s and 60s. But, he seems to do a little of everything and will be sound defensively. We could do a lot worse than Domask as a 6th or 7th man off the benchI’m just telling it like it is. Right… but I don’t think the number 1, 2, or 3 priority for Illinois is finding a guy that can play 10-12 mins off the bench and shooting it somewhat decentlyTo be fair, SIU's offensive style is really really really boring to watch. If you’d like a smaller, less athletic Luke Goode to eat up a roster spot, be my guest. Hard pass on Domask for me if I haven’t made that clear I don’t think it benefits this team at all. They need a wing that can really shoot it, and is able to get up and down the floor.Well if he plays hard, good teammate, and can shoot decently that’s all I care about lol
He can absolutely be Grandison-like with a little more on the ball skill. The 22/23 team sure could have used thatIf you’d like a smaller, less athletic Luke Goode to eat up a roster spot, be my guest. Videos look darn good I found and was former Wisconsin Mr. Basketball in 2019. I hope we land himI think he'd be ok for us not being one of the main guys. 6th man type role. Marion native here...btw.
