Serious question: why are some guys waiting so long to enter the portal? Seems like they'd want to get out there early to maximize their bargaining leverage. There’s plenty of “top tier” guys left and a ton that aren’t even in the portal yet … But they will be …
If you’re tyger campbell, your leverage is maximized no matter when you enter.Serious question: why are some guys waiting so long to enter the portal? Seems like they'd want to get out there early to maximize their bargaining leverage.
From what's been implied around here, there's a lot of back channeling going on. I would guess that those higher-end guys are making sure their landing spots are secured before taking the leap. No sense in leaving a decent situation if a better one isn't actually out there waiting for you.Serious question: why are some guys waiting so long to enter the portal? my guess would be intermediaries are talking money. No need to enter the portal if at the end of the day you are best off where you're at now.Serious question: why are some guys waiting so long to enter the portal? Seems like they'd want to get out there early to maximize their bargaining leverage.

Where is Epps going?Let me preface this by saying there's still plenty of time, and as multiple insiders have alluded to, presumably any number of upper end guys that still haven't entered the portal. That said..
Of the top 50 that *have*, six of those have joined the B1G, more than any other conference.
Given that fairly exorbitant take, how about the give, you ask?
One, in fact. One guy in the portal's top 50 has departed the Big Ten and announced a landing spot elsewhere. His name is Jayden Epps.

Uhhhhh whatMy common sense tells me Underwood is looking into Europe for international talent. He has a history with taking Vesel, Verdonk, Perrin, Moretti. Given that there is slim pickings for difference makers in the portal, I think he will look overseas to fill out some of our openings.

That's a lemon recruiting class? AJ was very solid as an upperclassman and JCL played for 8 different schools over 17 years, while acquiring 3 PhDs. I'd say that's pretty decent. The geat thing about the portal is if you have a lemon recruiting class e.g. 2015 (Groce)
jalen Coleman-Lands: Kippr Nichols, D.J Williams, Aaon Jorrdan) you have a chance eash yeear to atone for one's sins. or makee up for bad luck.
ummm - That list of European players didn't make any impact for Illinois. Realistically, RJ had ~10-15 minutes of glory in an Illini jersey. And honestly, that's about it.I find it interesting that RJ is not ranked in the top 208.

LMAO!!You're a modern day Thomas Paine.
Bingo … You don’t wanna enter the portal and tick off your NIL people if there’s even a slight chance it’s not 100% done …
