Staff is awaiting a certain point guard to enter the portal in the next couple of weeks. We will likely have picked up a point guard and a big before Coleman/Shannon make up their minds. And yes, if one of them decide to go, there's guys who they have their eyes on in the draft right now that will be entering the portal
Is that PG the new number 1 option? And/or, were they already the number one option even over Tyger?

Is the Tyger scenario officially dead? It seems technically possible he could come back to college, but not sure if his decision to go pro blew up our plans.

Thanks in advance.

They have had their eyes on someone not named Tyger for a while. I could still see Tyger coming back to college, but I have been told this other guy is pretty much a done deal

Georgia is a nice spot for RJ for both him and selfishly for us as fans. Not an NCAA tourney team where it would be painful to see him have success and wonder what could have been.

And for him it's closer to home and a pretty low pressure environment considering it is so much more of a football school than basketball. Good luck RJ!

Michael White did a great job with them this year. The team Crean left him went 6-24. In his first year this season they went 16-16. I’m sure they expect to make the tourney soon

With the understanding that its a personal/family decision and none of my business, Georgia is objectively a downgrade as a program.
But may be an upgrade for his ability to showcase his skillset and be one of the top 2 or 3 options on the team. Same was the case with Podz. So, it's okay in my eyes. He still goes to a Power 5 program but will likely have a chance to make a bigger impact. He's doing what he thinks is best for him. It is essentially a swap of RJ for Domask. I'll take Domask at this point so it's hard to be mad at the kid

Probably needed a change to reset and get a fresh start. Had a tough year. Best of luck to him.

Happy for RJ - based on his freshman year, my hope was a huge sophomore campaign. Unfortunately that didn't materialize. All the best RJ and hope you find your groove and have a Podz like breakout season.
