The trouble with Ty is that he's no threat to score. You don't actually have to guard him. Even though they may be young, I think we'll be happy with Gibbs-Lawhorn and Moretti at pg, esp. after they get half a dozen games under their belt. More than anything else, we need shooters.
He is no threat right now to shoot the three ball. You don't guard him, and he will take it to the rim.

I see this point was made a half dozen times already. Carry on.

No. Right out of the gate. I guess strictly speaking, Moretti would be a redshirt freshman? We've had too many outstanding freshman pgs over the years for me to worry about a frosh at the point. Harper, Frankie, Kiwane, Deron, the list could go on. But I'm like really tired. It's been a long day.
I never tire of rational like, “ We've had too many outstanding freshman pgs over the years.” Other than Moretti having an Illinois scholarship, what makes you think he should even be mentioned with Harper, Williams et al?

I’m not too worried about backup PG. in a typical game, we’re talking 7-10 minutes and likely less. BU will mix and match for those minutes with Harmon, Ty, Harris and Shannon. Guys actually running the plays called will help during those minutes too.

really like this kid
Could certainly do worse than him and Dain at the 5 and Quincy and Amani at the 4 if Hawk doesn’t come back.

His line against Oregon — only 2 points and 5 rebs in 23 minutes (though he did have 4 blocks) — sticks out like a sore thumb. Does he have any kind of offensive game or pretty much just put backs?

Everyone has an off night, but if he plays D, cleans the glass and gets enough putbacks to score 10+ on average, what’s the drawback?

Then you can kiss TSJ and CoHawk (if he doesn’t stay in the draft) goodbye. I’d rather have the vets stay around so we can win some meaningful games this year.
