And? Still think it’s a massive step down from RayJ and disappointing in comparison to what was promised. That’s just my opinion. Hope I’m wrong. And do we even know if he’s an option?

There's no "And", I made the points I wanted to. He's one of the top PGs if he's available and he can certainly shoot just fine. Look at RayJ's shot attempts and usage. He's ball dominant too, he just doesn't facilitate as much/well.

You don’t go 2/3 with TJ, Coleman, and RayJ/Yuri then this team won’t sniff the tourney …
Bigs: Guerrier, Dain, Hansberry, (Rodgers) (Goode)

Wings: Domask, Harmon, Goode, Rodgers, Epps

Point: (Harmon), (Epps), (Rodgers) Moretti, Gibbs-Lawhorn

The interior & wings actually look fairly deep and talented -- would likely improve as the season progressed.

The main problem would be point guard by committee unless Moretti or DGL developed over the summer.

Even without Shannon and Hawkins, that's plenty of guys for a transfer PG to pass the ball to.

I stand with Indy on this one...don't think this makes the tourney without 2 of those 3. And that's frustrating for sure.
Its too premature to make that assumption. Dain has played one year of college hoops. Quincy was third team All ACC. Its premature to write off Domask as not being solid too. I feel if we add TSJ and a solid grad transfer at pg we will be fine. We should even be better than last year if our shooting is much improved. I personally feel it will be with the addition of Domask, a healthy Goode, Quincy, and even Harmon who should also be an improvement over last years outside shooting. While I hope we keep Hawk, TSJ, and Ray J but we have improved all ready as shooters and added experience. While its preferable to add 2 or 3 of them I do think these additions are undervalued. Also, who knows what jumps someone may take given more opportunity. We seen it happen elsewhere right?

I’ll just say this … Missing on RayJ and not landing a Yuri type player as a plan B … The seat would be quite warm …

We’re investing a crap ton of money and have had ZERO post season success … There’s no way around that …

If you’re a top 10 paid coach … You better find the 2nd weekend more often than 0/6 …

Sean Miller took a group of guys that Travis Steele couldn’t make the tournament with in 4 years … Added a kid from UTEP and went to the 2nd weekend …

Brad has had plenty of time … He’s got a ton of money to recruit with … It’s time to see post season results in many boosters eyes and Josh’s eyes …
This is exactly how this should work. The university and donors have done their part. If the coach can not hold up to his end of the deal, maybe he needs to be replaced. The days of U of I worrying about losing a coach are over. The coaches should be worried about being replaced if they can not produce. I like Underwood but he nor any coach should ever be in a position to get too comfortable.

I don’t understand why the ncaa tournament is the definition of success. Brad has won Big Ten tournaments and championships. The tournament is a one and done event. I mean did anyone pick Florida Atlantic and San Diego St. to do as well as they did?

Sure, you don’t necessarily need a National Championship banner to be a great program….

S omeone tell me why the blame is on Underwood if Dennis goes elsewhere? Seems to me that Dennis must be getting a better deal.

Depends on who you have on the team. If Shannon is back plus you add another good player (If Coleman leaves), a player like Collins would really make this team better
Not my place to tell you what to do and you're well within your rights to tell me to pound sand, but weren't you logging off for a few days?

Appreciate the perspective and behind-the scenes happenings, but you (and Indy, 0440, & DB) don't need to disrupt your vacations and/or sanity breaks to make the likes of us feel better. I'd much rather wait a few days for what y'all impart on us than you become frustrated and fed up with the Board.

And, as always, thanks for all the info you and the others provide
