Random thought: does Chester not have many connections for transfers? Brandon Murray is the only one I can think of that we have been after where Chester was the lead. Maybe there's more guys behind the scenes that we don't know about, but it feels like he hasn't given much in that regard.

Yes, I expect multiple S16 appearances from a program that spends in the top 10 in coaching salaries and has as much NIL money to spend as we do.
I don’t necessarily expect multiple appearances all in a row, but given the talent we have had in the past three years, the ability to sway players our way with NIL vs other programs, and the salaries we are willing to spend for top tier coaching talent, then I would consider any less than 3 S16 in the next 6-7 years to be a failure (that’s 3 S16 in 9-10 years, including the past three that easily should have netted 1-2 S16).
Not mad at the insiders one bit. The snapshot of the inside of these recruiting dramas is welcome and interesting.

Goes to show nobody knows what goes on in the mind of a college age player until they sign the LOI. And sometimes not even then.
I don’t envy our insiders and I don’t envy our staff. They lost a sought-after recruit. Happens though. And sometimes the best deals are the ones you don’t make.

Another year of perceived disfunction, and a early out against seemingly less talented teams, and JW is going to be forced to make a judgement and a decision.
Hopefully it doesn't get to that, but like every walk of life, (amp'd up 100 times in Major College sports) you are judged on how you perform. I bet if you asked JW if this is where he pictured the program 5 years ago, he would say NO.

Reasonable expectation, IMO. Compares to what Michigan, Ark, and UCLA have done in the past 6-7 years as examples.

Yeah, I try not to wade into the meta stuff on message boards but this is pretty much my feeling as well. I enjoy reading and keeping up on rumors, but at the end of the day that's all they are. It reaches a certain point where if you take them too seriously that's kinda on you.
Of course, 0440. You guys do your best with the info provided, no way we should be putting that on you guys if it doesn't pan out that way. Unfortunately, there are a few people here that just might take this stuff a bit too seriously. But ironically, if you guys were to disappear from the board completely they wouldn't know what to do with themselves.

Side note: I have a buddy that goes to C-U currently and is friends with a couple of players - he said he heard something about us making a last-ditch effort phone call to RayJ and his family tonight, and his commitment could be pushed back more?
