We're waiting for the end of May right? How long is May? Seems like its already been 40 or 50 days.
If you are writing my unauthorized biography, patience isn't my strong suit.

If Shannon gets a promise to get drafted at 36 by Orlando, I think he goes with that for sure as it would put him in line to make guaranteed money @illini0440. I know you previously said 1st round = guaranteed contracts, so wanting to clarify that yet again that is not necessarily true. If he doesn't get a promise, then less likely he stays in

that's my understanding too (saw it in The Athletic awhile ago). so, 2nd round picks in the 30s (up to ~38) get guaranteed contracts. too lazy to look it up, sorry (not sorry, lol)

that said, doubtful that a GM picking 38 or under is willing to guarantee that he'll take a kid.

I think 2nd Round picks aren't automatically receiving guaranteed money, but a team can offer them a guaranteed contract. Some early seconds actually have gotten more than late firsts in past drafts, as the NBA minimum is the floor, and teams negotiate much like a type of free agent signing. As always, I could be wrong.

Teams in the second round aren’t compelled by rule to guarantee a contract, but they often do. something like 90% of the guys drafted between 31-40 sign at least a two year guarantee.
First round picks get an automatic 4 year deal, (salary determined by their draft position) the first two of which are fully guaranteed.

Ok, you finally outdid even my most optimistic expectation of your talents. The rest of us can go home because this is obviously the post of the year or maybe even the GOAT post. So simple on the surface, yet so nuanced.
