If Sean wants a kid as bad as he wants Niko … He usually does not miss … Especially him being an in state kid …

Sean is after Jackson McAndrew as well who’s a similar player in the 24 class and they were lead after visit … That race has gotten a little tighter though per other coaches in the recruitment and Sean … But Sean is pushing the gas …

Brad really liked this kid but we got in WAY late … Which is absolutely inexcusable if you ask me … But that’s just my 2 cents … Funny enough we offered him right after his Xavier visit when I told Brad he might wanna check this kid out … 😂

Man, seems like some pretty good talent coming out of Minnesota in recent years and the Gophers just can. not. capitalize. Not that I mind!

watching trent berry highlights and remembering a few like
Deron Williams who seems he'd shoot it like the ball had no air in it.
so soft it was never going to bounce out. dont see that mid range
game much anymore.

On a serious note...do you really think Ty can run point efficiently?
I honestly don’t know. I could see if go either way and I also think it depends on what you mean by efficiently. I think efficiently, to some on here, means a top tier PG who is a top 3 player on this team. I don’t think this team needs that and honestly don’t think last years team needed it either. To me, I think this team can be fine with a point guard that can play above average defense, bring the ball up court and get the team into their sets without turning the ball over. If they have that, I believe this team has enough different scoring options to be fine.

Im not super worried about his shooting, except for possibly FTs. If he can clean those up enough to be serviceable I could see him being fine. If not, I could see Harmon stepping into that role and being fine. I know he’s struggled with TOs a little but I’m wondering if that might regulate in a scenario where he doesn’t have to be one of the top scorers. Nothing against DGL either, I just see him being more of a spark/energy/scoring option off the bench.

Not a great answer I know, but I don’t think we will know until games start.

Is it my imagination, or am I seeing a lot of kids with Xavier and illinois interests. Perhaps Sean Miller is saying, "hey, I'm most likely gonna be at Illinois sooner than later, so go visit the campus and you can transfer when needed."
As an Arizona alum and a die hard Illini hoops fan nearing 70 years, I shudder to think the Whitman would ever stoop so low as to even consider that slimeball.

Did you mind when Bill Self was doing the same thing here? If Self, at the same age as Miller decided, he's done the Kansas thing but really preferred Champaign and wanted to come back after 5 Elite 8s and a National title, would you not even consider that slimeball?

You wouldn't consider Pitino, Calipari, Izzo, K, Williams, Wooden, etc. I'm sorry to ruin the romance for you, but 90%+ of the most successful college basketball coaches in history have been slimeball cheaters. That's just the way the game works. And even some of the guys I think may have actually been clean, they HIGHLY likely had boosters or assistant coaches cheating without their knowledge, or maybe they just didn't look too hard so they didn't find it. I mean one of Underwood's assistants, a guy we were very interested in getting here because of his recruiting, was caught up in the same scandal.

One coach I feel very comfortable saying he didn't cheat is Bruce Weber. I think Bruce Weber was a good Xs and Os coach, but he was not able to recruit at the level Self had recruited at and the fanbase hated him for it.

And on top of it all, it's all moot now, because everyone pays players.

I agree with on Weber and him not willing to sacrifice his ethics cost him some recruits. He made other mistakes and we don’t need to go down that road again

On your list of cheaters what evidence do you have on Izzo? I haven’t heard anything The others were on your list there is enough smoke to know they Probably broke rules except Pitno, Cal, and Miller who got caught. Yet they are still making millions

K and Wooden I honestly believe thought they ran a clean program but someone pulled strings behind the scenes. The Zion case proves that for me. Duke for most of K’s tenure did not have the highest rated recruits but relied on 4 year players who he developed.

In the case of Wooden…2 words: Sam Gilbert. Wooden knew darn well what was
going on. I’ve heard people on here
refer to Wooden as a total alpha.
Based on the way he dealt with Gilbert
he was either a liar or a beta. JMO

He supposedly confided to Bobby Knight he “just didn’t know what to do about Sam Gilbert.” And, Knight supposedly told him I’ll bet I can take care of it for ya.” Lol (not that Knight wasn’t full of crap too.)
