That's encouraging. We're looking at last year and thinking this is a big question mark on the roster. Ty is looking forward and seeing how good he can be.
Not expecting miracles with the shooting or FTs, but there is no doubt he's a mismatch from a strength/size aspect, and can defend. If he's 25+ and DGL or committee can pick up 10-15, we might be in business.

well aware that some fans see Jakstys as Lieb 2.0. that's selling him short, IMO. Lieb is the floor.
Fletch will be key, as will practicing with high major players. calculated gamble, but worth it, IMO. Grinch and Clean Gene were masters with development bigs. Now, it's our turn.

A big who can shoot is not a bad thing to have. Fletch him up and we could have something there. Reminds me some of Mike Tisdale but has a better frame to put on some muscle.

Out of the 138 composite 4-star and 5-star guys, only 15 of them are 6ā10ā or taller. So all but 15 schools (max) are taking a 3-star if they want that height. Add in that heās an in-state guyā¦ sounds good to me.
Bottom line someoneās gotta be the 13th guy. Not terrible to use it on a skilled big and see if you can develop him. Odds are we will still have spots for guys we want.
