Insiders, I know you all have hinted that next years team will be talented and Brad will get "guys". But what are the odds of any of Goode, Domask or even Coleman coming back?

Ooh! I'm no insider, but I'll guess 50/50, 10/90, and zilch.
I unfortunately feel you are probably right, I think the Coleman videos and talk have me dreaming that somehow we can NIL our way into getting him to stay one more year. I mean he would get to work with the best conditioning coach in college basketball lol

As we sit here today:

Goode: 60-70%
Domask: 35-40%
Coleman: 5-10%

Who knows though. Not gonna spend time thinking about it until this season is over, which hopefully won't be for a while

Domask does not have any more eligibility. The year he played 10 games was the “Covid” year.

University can try and petition the NCAA, but saying 35-40% is completely baseless.

Coleman's gone barring something crazy ...

Goode is welcome back but may look to get more PT elsewhere depending on what we bring in ... He will walk tomorrow with the seniors ...

Domask ... They're gonna try ... I think there's a case ... But this is the NCAA we talking about ... It's pretty comparable to the DeVito situation honestly ...

I know Coleman has been considered to be gone for sure, and I don’t doubt that, trust the insiders, I just wonder why. I haven’t seen him mocked higher than around 55th in the draft, and I’d imagine Illinois would pay a BAG to keep him. I know personally I’d rather give Coleman the money we’d throw at a guy like Kalkbrenner and get another year of CoHawk. Is it just that this is a weak draft class and he feels ready to move on?

The way the courts have weighed in lately, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone test the years played rule. The courts don't seem to be too afraid of the NCAA any longer.

IIRC, the general standard for getting a medical redshirt is a season ending injury had to happen within the first half of the season, which resulted in the player participating in less than 30% of the team's games.

Info available online suggests that Marcus played in 10 of SIU's 32 games that season, the "season ending" injury happened in late January, and he missed games earlier for other reasons. Seems like a long shot . . . but one never knows until one tries.

Only played 10 games. SIU only played 26(assuming COVID shortened non-con since they started in Dec). Domask got injured against Drake on Jan 4th then didn't play again.

My understanding of the waiver is it's a season ending injury in the first half of the season and they appeared in less than 30 percent of the maximum number of contests concluding at the ncaa championships.

Now Domask appeared in 10/26 games(38.5%) but add in 6 possible postseason game in the tourney and he's under the 30% threshold(could realistically argue the play in game and 2 more conf tourney games). As long as he's got medical documentation from the injury it seems like he actually fits within the circumstances for a waiver.

Different situation but I'd assume Fears will get one and appeared in 12 games before he was shot. And he should absolutely get one.

If Goode were to walk, I'm going to be behind fascinated to see how BU puts our team in the tournament next year. If he can pull that off, I would be impressed beyond words.

I'm trying to enjoy every second of this year.
