Yep, Storr is LeBron-ing us. We're waiting for his decision and when he doesn't pick us, everyone else we wanted will be gone.
We got a LONG time to go before we're in IDKWTI territory.
And we don't have Weber as HC anymore.

I wonder if Rylan Griffen would be a target? 6'6" 3 pt sharpshooter. He would fit with the style that Underwood is trying to employ.

I am very happy with our current portal class assuming we get Boswell. The portal will stay open till May 1. Plus grad transfers don't have to go thru portal.

Davis 6'6 Soph
White 6'6 JR
Boswell 6'6" JR

PG Boswell Nico DGL
SG SF Luke, DGL and Davis
PF Ty, Tre
C Amani , Jaks

Of course if Marcus comes back then we will really be rocking. We could get Storr but my guess he goes NBA or highest offer NIL which will be Arkansas once Cal gets his act together.

JMO Don't really see any reason for anybody to transfer out unless they just feel they are not good enough to get playing time.
Boswell is not 6’6”

Amani is a stretch 5 with a motor and an ability to knock down 3's. You've seen a limited sample size so your views are of course going to be clouded into thinking he's nothing great. Losing Amani would be a blow but not unexpected if the staff is trying to recruit over him
Stretch 5 seems very generous. He’s a 4. He’s like 6’7” for real. 6’8” at best. I like his demeanor and how hard he plays. I could see him struggling with fouls trouble though

I don't even know what all the current kerfuffle is about because I've not seen any concrete evidence supporting the doomsayers. And even if everything some have suggested all happens, we lost our whole staff a couple years ago and turned out fine.
I completely agree. I dont want to agree, but I do.

61.5% of Booth's shots were from 3. That is insane for a 6'10" player. Comparing to the Illini players last year:

Hawkins - 50.1%
Guerrier - 43.1%
Shannon - 46.2%
Domask - 28.9%
Goode - 87.7%

Only Goode took a greater percentage of 3s than Booth did. Because Booth just lived on the perimeter, he only took 41 FTs. So it's not much of an oversimplification. And if you are going to live on the perimeter, you better shoot a heck of a lot better than 29.7%. The guy looks to be an elite athlete, which makes me say even more, what the hell are you doing on the perimeter?

The hope would be, compare Soph Hawkins (he didn't play much as a Fr) to Fr. Booth:
Hawkins - 19 mpg, 5.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.5 apg, 44.2% FG, 29.2% 3pt, 65.0% FT
Booth - 19.9 mpg, 6.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.5 apg, 39.1% FG, 29.7% 3pt, 63.4% FT

Full disclosure, I am not and never was a Coleman fan. He made a remarkable jump this past year. So if the staff can do the same thing with Booth they did to Coleman last year, ok. But that was an extraordinary improvement.
I doubt they are bringing in Booth to play the same role here. I'm sure Brad has plans for his usage and will adapt him to fit what we need. Domask was not known for backing people down or running the offense before coming here. I trust Brad on whoever he brings in. He's earned that from us.

Amani was on a very good team that made the elite 8... Booth was on a dog poop team that was awful. There's a reason Amani didn't play and it wasn't talent.. Amani would've started or got significant minutes on many teams
He would have had a lot more minutes without the back injury that kept him off the floor in Jan-Feb.
