Child please. Rice shoots 27% from 3 and averaged like 3.4 assists to 2.6 TOs or something like that. I love his story and think he’s a good player. I think Boswell will be just as good. Have to think Rice is like 21-22 and Boswell is like 18-19
"Just as Good?" No. Boswell is the much better player with more upside. The important numbers...shot percentages and assist to turnover ratio for Rice...they are downright ugly. Heaven knows why this message board guy is so enamored with him. Once Boswell dials in his nutrition and gets Fletched up, I think we'll see even greater improvement than we did from freshman to sophomore year from him. We are getting the guy with far more potential who will make our team much better in the long run than Rice will make Indiana.

Just kinda reading the tea leaves and maybe this is my Weber, Groce era PTSD flaring up.

This has the feeling of a RayJ Dennis situation.

I was just gonna remind you about a few predictions you made last summer based on how the recruiting/portal was looking 😉

Just giving ya a hard time, this stuff all makes me want to puke too, but I have faith we will have good players as we've had a large number of guys over the past 5 years basically sail over the expectations I had for them

Well ... He is going after 2 targets on our board ...

One of which the staff thought they were sitting in the lead and now are not ...

The other one was a likely backup to him for the staff and Sean swooped in on him and is locking in a visit ...
Is Sean reading our board? How else would he get this inside information?

If Indiana lands 3 of the top 15 transfers as it's looking like they will. You can put them in this list too. Not even Mike Woodson could mess that up

No, but I think it's unique to this era of social media and blogger / fanboy reporting. It also represents a sea-change in the type of reporting that the schools and coaches expect and encourage.

Maintaining insider status is the primary motivation, and fans are often misinformed because of that.
Its not just schools or coaches. Disinformation, feeding "insiders", happens in all types of political and social circles.

Haha, I'm you. I'll eat crow about last year.

I do have faith in Brad. He'll figure it out. I think Boswell will be out best PG since Dee. Everyone is talking about his performance sliding during the tournament but I think you can blame coaching and being on a Caleb Love team for destroying morale.

OK that's 5 of 18.

Minnesota will be better than Maryland or Rutgers too if they reassemble, but that's 6.

We'll be in this mix somewhere.

Maryland lost 3 of their top 5 scorers and weren't good to begin with. Wisconsin lost 2 of their top 3 scorers, and Rutgers lost 7 of their top 8 scorers and are counting on freshman which as we've seen recently isn't a solution in today's college basketball.

None of those teams has a better coach nor the track record except Wisconsin of finishing in the top 4 of the conference.

Tell me you aren't reaching without telling me you aren't reaching

Man, if Boswell is better than upper-classman Demetri we gonna be a'ight.

Bottom half of the B10 is 10th place or worse and you named 5 teams (which we would absolutely compete with). Bottom half of the B10 is a joke. We would be a LOCK for top half.

If we land Boswell and Booth and can hang onto what we have (is Hansberry leaving a foregone conclusion?) and STILL be sitting on Storr type money that we can go get one more piece with, we're looking pretty darned good.

Boswell, Tre White and Morez Johnson are a heck of an injection of just raw talent, no slight on Booth either.

It's just going to be a totally different team, with totally different strengths and weaknesses. I already wonder how much Brad is going to enjoy coaching this perhaps more, ahem, enigmatic bunch, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
With totally different expectations. This would be a rebuild.

Not at all. They're not putting all their eggs in one basket this time and they're not gonna wait on him like they did RayJ

My IU buddy who is pretty plugged in with their program said Galloway got $500k…. So that’s your answer. Their NIL is no joke and seems like Mark Cuban was tired of watching them lose and has stepped up of late.
Not bad money for a guy with no left hand. Can you imagine the NIL if he had two hands?
