Best of luck DGL!!!

On another note, should be getting a Sellers announcement soon. I think Dix is leaning towards Illinois as of now as well.

I'm higher on Morez than that, I think he will be an all-big ten player (if he stays in the big ten), but I agree with you, Brad is the last coach to put reigns on anybody - has he ever told someone to "not shoot" we almost led the nation in three point attempts last season! If Morez could shoot the three - Brad would have been his biggest cheerleader calling him "elite". So the whole narrative that Brad and staff held him back is not credible.

My biggest worry for Morez is his Dad/handlers are going to be vocal and cause drama the minute he's not getting the role they think he should have/they aren't running enough plays for him etc. - we heard that noise in December here. Those types of families can be poison for a program - we've seen it here enough. Now Michigan can deal with that

+1
He's got an alpha quality that's even more valuable as a big man. If I had to let him shoot a 3 now and then to keep him, I would have tried to give him that chance. If he misses enough or isn't taking wide open shots, it's easier to get more buy-in on the timeline and what he needs to show in practice. I'm assuming BU does that, but maybe it's an area he can improve on to keep guys more bought-in and committed. I know he's shown a lot of faith in guys that earned his trust. Even first year KJ, BU said he was willing to let him make mistakes. Maybe he just needs to be a better communicator when he notices guys becoming dissatisfied. If I had the answer, I'd probably be a high major coach :p

Staff has been pretty good overall, and I think BU is always trying to improve, so I have a lot of faith that they'll take lessons from this year into next season. It's such a tricky landscape right now. Even guys who want to stay have to look at their market value and whether there's a program that over-values them or might promise to green light developmental opportunities that are not best for this team. The freedom of movement is a big challenge, and I think you have to compare retention and development to other high major programs.
