Our defense has really surprised me this season (Coach Walkers seems to be the real deal and we're lucky to have him because I think he'll be a head coach sooner than later).
Yep. After the missed replay they still could have run the ball twice when they had 3rd and 2 instead of calling that rb pass and then kicking the field goal.

Everyone is saying this, but we also got burned on a blitz that drive for their biggest gainer.
All that really happened was the IU QB threw a string of accurate throws for the first time all game.
agree. just so frustrating and it gave me terrible flash backs of last season where we gave away key close games to Big Ten opponents.

My problem is that I can see that Bielema is clearly far and away the best coach we’ve had since Zook, and yet this still happens to us.
Disheartening loss for sure. Lots of football left to be played this season.
Big Ten officials are an absolute disgrace. They have no excuses because they can watch the replay over and over AND they still blew the call. Thanks guys you cost us a game no big deal! You sucked before the game and now you suck even worse after the game. YES I’m a sore loser!! So what!

When the game ended NL # 3 came up to me and put her arms around me and said nothing ............she just hugged me tight and told me she loved me......
Then she loaded up the pipe and handed it to me and lit the lighter ...........I'm hurting inside about this exhausting loss but looking into her eyes and seeing the love she has for me takes a lot of the pain away......not all the pain but enough that I just looked at her and smiled ......then I coughed up a lung cause i took one of those deep as grand canyon tokes ..................

2. Offense made a substitution but the refs didn't allow the defense enough time to counter.
Usually they’re based on talent discrepancies. In my opinion, this was failing to make plays and making too many mistakes. This can be cleaned up

I wish I had confidence we could give Chase Brown the ball 36 times for the rest of the year, but I doubt that's true.
Holy cow he was good. He changes direction with such suddenness and violence from any angle and has otherworldly balance.
Just a special athlete who has no NFL future because he can't block or run pass routes. I liked the old football better.

On the bright side...
You can blitz and still play prevent D. Did you see the huge cushion we were giving the receivers? That’s the prevent D I’m referring.

I mean you literally can't but whatever.
We weren't pressing their receivers at the line of scrimmage when we were 3-and-outing them every series either. That's not really Walters' scheme, very different from Lovie.
