And Kofi made 8 of those. The rest of the team made FOUR 2 point shots in the entire game.
and that's Brad's approach to opponents. Make them him the 2 pointers.

A few thoughts:

Teams that don't hit their free throws don't win in March. This team doesn't hit their free throws.

All due respect to Brad, who is a great coach, but how do you let Plummer shoot you out of that game? Any of the freshmen are better options than leaving Plummer out there to jack and jack and jack. And that's not a shot at Plummer, who I like--it could happen to anybody in a given game but you've gotta adjust.

Make your layups.

Edit: On the bright side, if Coleman has arrived that would a huge boon for this team.
I agree. In game adjustments continue to be an issue along with a host of others already covered.

If you told me Plummer and Curbelo would go 3-19 and Damonte would go 0-0....and that Plummer would be afraid to shoot in the 2nd half, I'd guess the outcome would not be good. With Grandison out and Trent with a subpar outing we did not have much firepower. CH and Kofi were our only weapons...kudos to them for their effort. Few teams can overcome that kind of play. Even with that we had 2 possessions with a chance to win.
Was RJ fouled on his drive ?im ready for him to blastoff like the Hawkman has done

Bench had one basket. That is a concern. Freshmen played tentative, Payne out of control, no BBV. We will need more from them next week.
I thought I saw that BBV was back for the game. Regardless, that’s not the matchups that BU would likely use him. Don’t believe he played first time they played IU either.

I find it INCREDIBLY unlucky that we happen to play everyone when they are playing their best. I mean, Indiana is at their best, Iowa was at their best, Penn St. is absolutely at their best right now. Ohio State was at their best. Michigan at the best that they were playing. We went into Michigan St. and beat them when they were at their best this year. We lost to Rutgers at their best. Our last 7 games are against competition at their best. THAT is what gets you ready for March Madness.
Just like how every recruit that doesn’t pick us was was swayed by their mom or we decided late we didn’t want them.

Not gonna lie to you...I sold my tickets at the SFC to a high school kid at face value instead of just giving them to him. My wife told me, "Illinois will lose, and you'll be wishing you had those back on Saturday." I assumed Illinois had the easier route to a Saturday game. FML.

Atrocious shooting on open shots and soooooooo may missed opportunities. Let's get Jake healthy and perhaps find a few "go to" plays whenever we have our droughts.

I think what a lot of people forget is that the other team gets a say in the outcome, too. Not every game is going to look easy, but if you keep winning, you are probably a good team. No team in any year every has an entire season of "easy" games. Good teams fight through the "ugly" games more often than not and still win. That is (mostly) what we have done this year.
Agree...and Indiana outplayed us. They did what they do(ball screens-legal and not so legal, take it inside and ft's) better than what we do(shoot 3's and feed Kofi)We won ugly against Iowa and lost ugly today. Hopefully we start playing "pretty" soon.

Belo is not elite. Missed tons of free throws and bad decision making. I'm really looking forward to the other guards competing for playing time next year. I'm so tired of the sloppy play.
He is a double edged sword, that's for sure.
