Purdue will take a big step back - the cupboard is pretty bare. Wisky and Nebby will take a big step forward, though. And NW only has one way to go.
Not for sure about Wisconsin. Long term they will improve but going from a Wisconsin offense to an Air Raid will be disorienting, they will having a lot of "two steps forward, on step back" this season.

Exactly the reaction we need on this board

Great effort when missing a few key components.

Not worried about defense with Henry in charge. Especially the secondary. Would love to see some depth at LB, and some impactful edge rusher(s).

Offense has work to do. DeVito is limited in stretching the field. Has no touch on any throws over 25+ yards. Eager to see what Altmeyer can do.

I think BB and staff will reload on the OL and RB positions. Hoping we have a stud WR to really stretch the field.
This is so correct on TDV. He did a tremendous job for us as “what he is”, but on both (all out blitzes by MSU in the forth quarter) he throws line drives to a wide open IW. Those passes have to be thrown with air under them. I, also wish we would learn to throw the ball away instead of taking 7 sacks? 1/2 of the the number of sacks could have been “next play” mentality. Simply can’t hold the ball for 5 or more seconds as a QB?

I loved what TDV gave us this year, but he did have limitations.

The program was barely breathin.
But Bielema came to bear-hug the Big

Now we stackin up wins, dating two twins

What the hell happened to the defensive Line? NO PRESSURE ON A VERY GOOD QB. What the hell happened to the offensive line? LEAKED LIKE A SIEVE.
I thought this team had sand. They don't.

Tough loss. Controlled the 1st half. Couldn’t run the ball. Would have been interesting to see what Chase could have done. D was tired. TDV tried to push it down the field today where in the regular season he would have checked down

The way I look at it 2 blown TD calls this season (IU and MSU) could have changed the outcome of 2 games

That is equivalent to dunking when no one is playing D at the end of a basketball game. Total dick move.
Sorry, but I 100% disagree. I have no issues with the return at all. The only way I would have been mad was if I bet Illini +3.5, which of course I do not bet on Illini games.

They absolutely could have fallen on the ball, but in no way is it a dick move to return the ball. We were trying to score on that play, so I see no equivalent here. No doubt in my mind if the roles were reversed that we would have done the exact same thing, and all of us on the board would be celebrating the play.

its a bad look, no doubt, but we dont know what words were said to start the fracas.
I know, better to walk away , but these guys are full of end of game emotions . JW will get the report and act accordingly

Great job by defense. You give up 13 points you should win every time. But as has been the case most of the year the offense was a total dud. Dropped passes, spotty OL play, poor scheming. Still a fun year overall. Back it up with 9+ wins next year. Can afford to take a step back… bt west is already better.

Nothing is certain with Wisky or Nebraska. Scott Frost was supposed to be NU’s savior. We saw how that turned out.

My bet is that Minnesota stays about where they’re at with PJ. Iowa continues to slide. Wisky eventually gets it going with Fickel, we’re good with Bielema, Nebraska stays in its funk, Purdue fails and NW makes some improvement but never is competitive again under Fitzy.

Remember everyone:

The defense only allowed 13 points

Even if MSU got a TD instead of going to a final FG, MSU would gotten max 18 points (TD + 2pt conversion, more like a TD + XP for 17 points)

We had a good season and the defense had a good game.
