Anyone played the PS4 yet? I know this a long shot, but I might have changed my mind on buying one in the last week. Any ideas on where there might be an extra one laying around?

Any recommendations on the PS 4 vs X box one? I have kids between 5 and 10 and we are thinking of one of these as a family Xmas present.

There honestly aren't that many games for kids that age on those platforms. The proportion of kid/family games is much higher on Nintendo than Sony/Microsoft. Not to say that Sony/MS don't have them, but much much fewer, and the games for the initial launch of the PS4 and XBone are pretty much rated T and M across the board from what I've seen. Also be aware that neither of the new consoles are going to be backward compatible unless/until they put in some type of cloud option for older games.

I would give the nod to the XB1 with the new and improved Kinect because there will be plenty of kids games using that software.

Halftime and end game interviews now? I may have to get PS4 afterall.

NBA 2K14 is by far my favorite launch game.

In the MyCareer mode, I got drafted by the Bucks. A few games in, Caron Butler asked me to carry his bags for the season. Knowing that is common in real life, I agreed. He came back a few games later and asked me to wear a clown nose for the rest of the season. I drew the line, and he wasn't very happy with me. However, I had a great game the next night and he decided to take me out on the town. I had such a good time that I overslept and was late for practice. Coach got pissed and threatened to reduce my minutes. :D

I thought I'd revive this thread as I got an Xbox One right before Christmas.

I must say, it's awesome. The graphics form the 360 to the One is a dramatic upgrade. The kinect works extremely well. I actually had to turn it off during FIFA because I kept getting suspended for language.

Anyway, i haven't played the PS4, but I recommend the Xbox One. The TV function works very well too! I'm ready for some new games to come out!

The lack of quality games is what bums me out about it. I got one from Christmas and turned it on maybe five times since then. Titanfall is coming out and I already have BF4 for the 360 so I might get it for the One to compare.

I got the Xbox for X-mas (complete surprise) and really like it.

I only play CoD and Battlefield, but they're both great.

Just played the Titanfall beta. All Xbox One owners need to get playing that. Tons of action.

Mark my words...Destiny will be a game changer for the industry. Being that it is a multiplat, everyone should have an opportunity to get in on the action. Beta should begin this summer (already got my code) and game launches in September.

How did you get the code just out of curiosity?

I'm not a big fan of MMO games, usually because they are role playing. So I'm kind of watching to see what happens with Destiny. Definitely a genre-bender.

Having said that, I wasn't really jacked about playing Titanfall. That is, until I played the beta. Now I'm totally jacked to play it.

Nice! Hopefully they will open it up to all like the Titanfall beta.

I played the Titanfall Beta too and it was good. It's like COD meets Transformers. I will be picking that game up. Currently I'm just playing FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4. I'm pretty much done with COD games after that last puke session they put out in November. I had it for 2 weeks on 360 and traded it back in. Awful

Is this Titanfall going to be Xbox One only? I have a PS3 with no desire to get a PS4 but would gladly get that game if it were to be available.

Yes, Microsoft exclusive. Xbox one, Xbox 360 and PC only.

My feeling is that the BF franchise is better than the CoD franchise, especially in terms of multiplayer. I feel that the pace of BF4 is better than CoD. when I play CoD, I feel that I don't really have a chance to be competitive until I get up to the 20s in level whereas once I get better guns in BF4, I can be competitive at the lower levels. I think for BF4, I'm level 3 or 4 (something in that range) and I can hold my own with the higher level players. That wouldn't happen in CoD.

Let the record show that I don't have the time, nor the desire to play games every day in order to get better. I feel that for the novices like me, BF4 is more user friendly.

I will be picking up the Plants v zombies Garden warfare later this week. Looks awesome.

Got Titanfall on Friday (release is always a few days later in the UK than in the US) and I'm loving it. If anyone of you Xbox One guys want to hit me up for a game or two, my gamertag is Bill The Brewer. Don't forget the time difference. :)

This is slightly of topic, but are there any plans for a college basketball game for next gen consoles?
