The Cardinals looked like they didn’t want to be there this afternoon. They play like that, the Rams will kill them.

My goodness, that was a classic Raiders loss. Undisciplined football leading to a big play and 15 yard penalty to boot.

Man it would be so much like the bears to blow this vs the jags.

I was starting to think that bringing Mitch back for another season might not be a bad idea. After the pick in the end zone, not so much.

Bears up 13-10 at half. Bears gifted a FG Late in the 1st half by Jags defense. Bears secondary has been an issue though that's to be expected when two of your top 3 corners are out.

Was reading one of the ESPN.com writers and they brought up a scenario where the Bears re-sign him to a 4 year, $90 million extension. Now before you get too flabbergasted, the deal would include an opt out after the first year of the deal so you'd essentially only be signing Trubisky to a one year, $22 million prove it deal.

We all know the whole thing about drafting him too high and wasting draft capital to trade up to do so. While its hard to let that go you have to forget about it and figure out how to move forward. It can’t be Foles next year. to be competitive next year they either need to bring Mitch back or figure out a way to bring in someone new through the draft or free agency.

Guess the Jags caught wind of the Jets beating the Browns. Bears just put them away with three third quarter TDs.

The Bears will be the fifth team picking a qb in the next draft at best maybe sixth. Jets, Pats, Jags, Broncos, and Panthers will all be drafting before the Bears and all could be targeting a qb. Unless you’re in a 1983 draft scenario, not going to get a starting quality qb in the first round. Bears are much better off looking for a developmental pick in the 3rd or 4th round.

As for free agents... who? I don’t think the Cowboys let Dak Prescott hit free agency. You want to give 40 year old Philip Rivers $25 million? Assuming he doesn’t retire. After that, I don’t see a guy heading into free agency who’s better than Trubisky.

I suppose they could explore trades. They’ve already spent so much draft capital on trades recently that they’re precariously thin at a ton of positions. I don’t think they can afford to make a trade for a qb.

The Bears will bring Foles back. They’ll draft a qb in the 3rd round or later, and they’ll bring in a qb who - if it isn’t Mitch - won’t be much better than Mitch... Jameis Winston (puke!), Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jacoby Brissett, Tyrod Taylor, etc.

For the Bears, it comes down to this as far as potential playoff scenarios heading into next week:

-Rams win: Bears are #7 seed whether or not they defeat Green Bay
-Bears win and Cardinals win: Bears are #6 seed, Cardinals are #7 seed, Rams are out
-Bears lose and Cardinals win: Bears are eliminated from playoff contention

And with Goff dislocating and possibly fracturing his thumb, it's not a given that the Rams will win that game next week.

I had assumed that if the packers win tonight they would clinch home field advantage in the playoffs. But if they end up in a tie with the Seahawks or a three way tie with the Seahawks and saints then they don’t get it. If they have something to play for next week I don’t see the bears having any chance.

I haven’t heard any updates on Kyler Murray. That could be crazy next week with the Rams and Cards playing a win-and-you’re-in if neither team has a healthy starting qb.

Every playoff possibility for the Bears.

Interesting that they if beat GB, they could still wind up playing them the very next week in the Wild Card round.
