Joe Buck saying Donald Parham was possibly shaking on the ground because it was 50 degrees in LA was one of the wildest things I've ever heard.

And the Chargers Head Coach kept going for it on 4th down, because #analytics, what a buffoon. It made me think immediately of the outcry that came when Bielema didn't go for it on 4th down (except opposite, of course).

I'm not anti-analytics, but why the hell are you chasing points when you're either down less than two touchdowns or even ahead. He takes one of those FG opportunities and they might win that game, he takes two of them and they definitely win.

I’m pretty sure the analytics say take the sure thing points in those situations anyway. Pretty much any time you’re ahead or close, you’re supposed to take the points. It’s basically the same calculation as deciding between 1-point and 2-point conversions.

I think you’re supposed to be conservative when choosing between go for it and the FG, and aggressive when choosing between go for it and the punt. In the first case, sure-thing points on the possession is better than a fractional chance of points on the possession. In the second case a fractional chance of points on the possession is better than forgoing any chance of points on the possession.

During the broadcast they kept saying the analytics would indicate to go for it. But they may have been talking out their backside.

You have to wonder if any college program would take him, baggage and all. NFL stint may have tarnished his brand a bit but hey - he wins at college ball. My bet is some SEC team picks him up, or some other school that used to win but has been in the dumps recently. I would have suggested Miami if they hadn’t just pulled Cristobal from Oregon.

In my opinion, if he wants to coach college again, the opportunity will be there. The only question is what level of job is he willing to accept? No top program is going to risk that, but plenty of others will. Especially if he lays low for a couple years.

My prediction: Texas. Another losing season from Sark and the Longhorns get desperate.

Raiders-Browns set for today, postponed til Monday. WFT-Eagles and Seahawks-Rams postponed til Tuesday.

Postponement of Raiders-Browns means Patriots-Colts is the only Saturday game this week.

Raiders-Browns will still air on NFL Network on Monday at 4:00 PM CT.

WFT-Eagles and Seahawks-Rams will air on FOX at 6:00 PM CT on Tuesday with regionalized coverage. Whatever game does not air in your area can be seen on Sunday Ticket.

I think we have to transition to something like this at some point if we want to move on with life.

Otherwise we will constantly be pausing sporting events and having people sidelined who are 1) Vaccinated and 2) showing no symptoms.

For those that are afraid of continued spread due to less testing, there is a vaccine and a booster out there. They go a long way towards preventing/reducing the virus.

It’s time for us as a country to stop focusing on the cases like we did a year ago.

Got a genuine laugh out of this tonight after the Josh Lambo/Urban Meyer story dropped.

First time a team quarterbacked by Brady has been shut-out since 2006 when the Dolphins beat the Pats 21-0 in Miami. Only 3rd time ever (Other was in 2003 when Pats lost 31-0 at Buffalo).

So this means tonight was first time Brady has ever been shut-out at home.

With so many players out, tonight's game has the makings of a complete disaster for the Bears. Although you never know I guess....

Too bad Nagy is calling plays tonight but....Go Bears Practice Squad!

Every Bears fan seeing their starting secondary tonight will have the same reaction Neil Flynn's character has in one of the early scenes in Major League.

I know this has been an awful season but...

Does anyone at least think that Quinn ends up breaking Richard Dent's single season team sack record?

Bears only down 10-3 at half. Somewhat impressive they're not down more considering how bad their secondary was expected to be tonight. Offense would look better if they could not turn it over so much.
