Ravens-Bengals gets flexed to late kickoff if game is for AFC North. If Vikings hadn't lost yesterday, I could have seen Bears-Vikings being flexed.

51 years ago Dick Hughes of the Detroit Lions died on the field in a game against the Bears... it was chilling, just as this scene is
Actually, the player's name was Chuck Hughes and that tragedy was made even more poignant when Dick Butkus-the most fearsome player in football- was the first player to get to him and then frantically waved to the doctors to get out and care to him. As I recall it was reported he died of a heart issue and not a football related injury. A more recent occurrence happened when college basketball player Hank Gaithers of Loyola Marymount also died of a heart issue during a game in the 90's. Tragic.

Good call on this. I don't recall how long the delay was then but I think it was close to 90 minutes after he left before they even resumed the game.
Yeah, and I’m pretty sure they knew at that point that he was stable in hospital before it was decided to continue.

The fact that this was a blunt force trauma injury to the chest means there are a number of terrible potential outcomes beyond just cardiac arrest. Hoping against hope he’s OK
