While it may not be an ideal solution, one option I have heard suggested is that the game is never resumed and so both teams will have played 16 games instead of 17. Obviously not great, especially when it comes to AFC seeding, but this is an unprecedented situation for the league, especially this late in the season.

so is the NFL simply going to wait until this weekends results of all games are known to determine if they need to resume the Bills v Bengals and get a winner (if it matters ) or just give them both a "tie" if the results dont matter in playoff seeding ?

Guessing some form of that, though probably more a 'no contest' than a tie.

Is there any chance the Bears are considering taking offers on Fields and taking a QB at #1 or #2 overall? Does Fields throw the ball accurately enough to be a franchise QB who can win you super bowls? I know his supporting cast is non existent but I still have my doubts. Halfway through this season I think the question would have been can you get a significant return for Fields? Turning Fields into multiple first round picks and building with Stroud or Young has to be thought about doesn’t it? Not very often you find (hopefully) you find yourself with a top 2 pick. Would take some serious guts from Poles, but he has shown he’s not afraid to make the tough decisions. This would be a whole different animal than moving on from Mack and Smith but I can see it.
